Mexican Cake 2015

I got one from liquor express and one from wine rack and that's it. Wish you were beer was sold out by the evening.
The good news is I heard this will be distributed a couple more times growth out the summer.

 

Nevermind then, I bought mine at great spirits last year. They only had half a case this year.

I just talked to a guy at Tasty in Raleigh who said NC isn't getting any Mexican Cake this go around.

 

I'm not surprised. We have yet to see anything outside Gose, IPA, One Claw and White Thai. Was hoping for some Shanes, but that never materialized. Hopefully next year!

 

So if I cannot make it on the release weekend will the brewery have it the following? What is release day like for regular Mexicake? Ive seen mixed opinions. Some say there will be plenty for a week or two while some say it will run out the day of in hours. I think some people get in confused with the BA version. Im just interested in the regular version.

 

We're swimming in the stuff (Shane's) down here in Charleston. Personally, I don't think it's as good as their Citrus Ninja Exchange collaboration that comes out in late summer. Let me know if you want to trade for some!

 

May have been answered already I'm not sure I didn't go through the whole thread word for word.. So sorry if this is a duplicate question... When are the BA cakes released? And is there any info as to what BA cakes will be this year? Think I saw a double chocolate bourbon barrel which sounds real good to me.. Thanks, and again, sorry if this is a repeat.

Its unknown. I think last years was in September.

 

So I was in Total Wine in Durham on 15-501 yesterday. There was a distributor from a Florida beer company stocking stuff and he told me (he over heard my girlfriend and I talking about MC) that the only store in the triangle getting it is Sams Quik Shop. Who knows when. I'm just glad I work within five miles of the store.

 

Last year they lowered the limit to 6 from the original 12. It still sold out within 90 minutes.

 

Yes all of Alabama got it Friday, not sure why us first, but it also seems they may be doing more batches from Ravers post. Our distribution was down, the store that does the most WB Volume in Birmingham got 10 cases this year, they had 25 last year. I had to go to 8 different spots, but ended up getting several bottles. The heat is very intense this year. It did mellow as it warmed some, but it was a little overpowering to me.

 

Just because the bottling line was messed up and they didn't have a lot on hand the first day. Others went to the brewery a few days later and left with a case.

 

It seems strange that this has hit distribution with no release announced at the brewery, hoping they are still planning on one.

 

Talked to local places here in Upstate, SC today and they will be receiving it on Thursday they said. They commented "It should have been on last weeks truck, but there was a "problem"."

 

Gee, I don't know- to try to take care of some of the accounts that pour their beer on tap all year long? Or the retailers that support it?

But... they are definitely holding a lot back at the brewery this year. I saw my case allocation drop 25% this year for distribution to my accounts.

 

Definitely strange that distro is seeing bottles before the brewery release. I just hope some is available when I'm down in Mt. Pleasant this weekend!

 

So when wil Columbia SC be seening cake?
