fwiw, I picked up some Destihl Gose at WFDomain recently and didn't get any funk like people are describing. I can't confirm the batch # because I'm not at home, but it would be odd if it were the same batch considering it was a solid month between when it first hit Austin and when WF got it.

How about the Counterclockweiss? That also had a very buttery, er, over funky taste too.

my Destihl Gose batch says "soylent gose is people", if that is in any way indicative of the batch. :grinning: All the numbers on all the cans were completely unintelligible.

We have had no issue with any batch of Counter ClockWeisse. What batch number do you have? We can pull QC cans and taste them.

Our apologies for the unreadable numbers, sometimes during the canning process, some of them may get smudged. The cans with the message "Soylent Gose is People" are not from the batch in question.

FWIW, I have a lot of cans in the fridge right now from various breweries and the numbers on all of them were pretty much unreadable. It was just odd that the lettering was clear on 2 of the 3 cans I checked. I wasn't exactly sure what I was looking for with all the numbers either.

I only smelled the cheese, flavor was great! Which is why it's a beer not a Scentsy candle.

I can't speak for how other breweries date code their beer, but ours are labeled with a batch number first, then the date YYMMDD. So today's date would be 150519. Due to the fact that the printing is on a concave surface, it can sometimes print illegibly.

Do the batches vary from person to person? :stuck_out_tongue:

Except that you taste with your nose. Try holding your nose closed while you eat and then open it.

If anyone in the Medical Center is looking for RedBud, Fresh Market on Holcombe has a couple of six packs.

Avg super market selection IMO. I don't shop there unless I'm at work.

Finally tried the Live Oak Berliner and it was delicious. Not as tart as Red Bud and has more of the traditional wheat/malt flavors but it was refreshing, balanced and extremely drinkable. If anyone knows of places doing growler fills of it in Austin, let me know. I have some trading partners that would love it!
