DMB 5/23 Jiffy Lube Live

    I've seen this done before in another region for a WSP show. Was wondering is anyone going to DMB this Saturday night at Jiffy Lube Live?

    If so anyone tailgating/ wanna share some bottles and grill some food before the show starts?

    Haha Im glad this thread was made - I'm coming up from SC. I won't have a grill or anything but I sure as hell can bring some beer.

    Ill have a camping grill with us we should be grilling some dogs and brats up.

    Sounds good - what kind of beer you like the most? I'm in charleston so depending on when Mexican cake is released I might be able to get a bottle for that. Any styles you like compared to ones you don't?

    If you can grab Mexican Cake that would be awesome, I love me some Mexican Cake. If its beers ill drink it, cant think of anything I hate.

    I'm stopping at hardwood on the way up. Are there any other must go to places? Also best bottle shop in the areas to stop?

    As far as the RVA/ Hardywood area goes im not sure, I am about 3 hours north from there. You could check out lickinghole creek while near Hardywood.

    I can bring some Brothers Craft Brewing (formerly Three Brothers) beers with me.

    If you're talking about a drinking detour, you definitely need to stop by The Answer brewpub in Richmond. I think they have a taplist online. For bottle shops, Once Upon a Vine Northside is a good shop and close by Hardywood. Lickinghole Creek is about an hour west out of the way.

    Jiffy Lube Live is in Manassas, right? I don't know of any good spots in that area, there is a Total Wine but it kind of sucks. Fairfax is not a far drive, there you will find a Whole Foods with a good bottle selection and 20 taps throughout the store.

    There are plenty of great spots in DC for drinking and bottles. Do a forum search, it comes up all the time, but off the top of my head, Churchkey, Bluejacket, Meridian Pint for bars; Whole Foods P Street, Rodmans for bottles. You can also drive to DC Brau and pick up some cans of On The Wings of Armageddon, a great double IPA.

    Nice list. I'll have to check those places out online. Looks like there's tons of planes to eat in Dc now trying to narrow it down is the hard part.

    @beernuts is right about Lickinghole Creek being out of the way. Like, really out of the way. I recommend Strangeways for folks going through RVA but be sure to check their hours. Center of the Universe Brewing is north of RVA along I-95 if you're going that way.

    There are a few breweries right near Jiffy Lube Live. The closest one is Tin Cannon. Less than 2 miles from the venue. Others about 10 or so minutes out are Old Bust Head and Heritage Brewing

    There is a gem of a bottle shop in Haymarket, about 15 minutes away. It's called Crafted - Haymarket.

    @HighRollerII From what I read on antsmarching and their tailgate thread looks like they anticipate gates opening at 3:30
