I think Darkness Day/Darkness release may be one of the only around the area that sells out immediately (no, 60 bottles of Assassin at Nova doesn't count). Heck, Rum King sat around liquor stores for a week +, I know many of us here know how good Lunker is, but for some, even people who like beer, may have never heard of it. Most of Steel Toe's releases seem to hang around the brewery for a bit, could just be a way to get rid of inventory in a quicker manner, either way, Im excited

 

I am upset that Steel Toe did not check my schedule for this release. I mean, holy hell, how can I be expected to try to hit a baseball Thursday night after drinking LUNKER? The ball is going to look like a blurry white shadow.

And let's try to keep this civilized, please. There's not a massive trade market for this beer, there's no need to start camping out, & if past years are any indication it'll be around for at least a week at the brewery. Let's all be on our best Minnesota-nice behavior.

That's why us smart folk play slow pitch softball. A nice big yellow ball thrown underhand is much easier to hit while drunk.

 

I am tempted to put a FT Lunker (pre) on the trade forum for just for funsies.

 

I have taken out a loan and am going to buy all the lunker they have on Thursday at 3PM... on an unrelated note I will be selling Lunker bottles from my garage Thursday evening for 30 dollars a bottle, if anyone is interested.

You're thinking of Ben's Beer Bike Bringing Brigade - That's a separate thing from @jsdavis422's blatant attempt to buy up all of a limited release and then resell. Which, btw I think the people of Decorah have trademarked, so he may want to check with a lawyer.

 

Before The Dawn was released around the same time last year and I picked up bottles well into July. Should be the same for this one hopefully.

I am *still* kicking myself for not buying more BtD. I had no idea how good it was until it was pretty much gone. I was able to get a couple bottles and have one left, but what a great beer that is.

 

Was Lunker $20 in the past? I thought it was around $15 but I could be wrong. I miss the old label too.
