Contacted both Frugal MacDougal and Southern Spirits today. Neither have received shipment yet and "said" they don't know when it will arrive. Southern Spirits will do a lottery system if they receive and and will likely be a 1pp limit.

 

I called Stateline this afternoon, they said they didn't know when they would get any but it wouldn't be a lot. Not to helpful :/

 

Not sure what you expect them to tell you. They don't really know till the truck shows up and I am sure your phone call was one of a hundred asking the same question.....Try calling Brawleys and see what you get, downright rudeness. At least Stateline will sell it when they get it instead of either holding a stupid lottery or telling you you don't spend enough money to get one.

 

Agreed. I fully did not expect either place I called to give me any relevant information. Just doing my due diligence. I'll just have to check them out in person when I'm down there this weekend.

 

I know the Greenville Beer Exchange gets some in this Saturday, 1bottle per person. They go on sale at noon.

 

If it shows this week in Fort Mill/Rock Hill, it will be tomorrow or Thursday. Those are the delivery days for Advintage in that area. I would check tomorrow around lunch if I were there.

 

"Due diligence" , well put !! I have done the same.....Seems Westbrook expanded Distro and is sending out less so it will be hard to get even a bottle this year. Too bad, it is a good beer. What was weird is that they shipped it to Alabama first....Not sure I would be happy if I was a regular customer at their brewery.

 

It's possible WB may have shipped at the same time, but each state's distributor may work at a different speed. It sometimes can take a while for beer to go through Savannah in Georgia. Distro can be funny that way. Not saying that's what happened, just pointing out that there are a lot of unknowns.

It got released. That's all that really matters, IMO.

Actually the rep for the area just talked to the accounts today so the stores you called were being truthful. I don't know how the allocations landed but it was not much at all. He had very little to go around and I know how stressed he is.

 

Westbrook, Total Wine & Whole Foods all told me that they still had bottles at the end of the day. House of Brews will be receiving their shipment on Wednesday, announced on social media.

In all seriousness, if she can make the 15-20 minute trip from Charleston to Westbrook that would probably save a lot of time from having to bounce around to places hoping to find it and then deal with 1-2pp limits. Just ask her (nicely) to head to WB where the limit is/was 6 I believe and supply should be plentiful.

CBX updated last night that they sold out of their first batch of MC but if they receive another shipment today or tomorrow then maybe that would be a good bet....
