Well no one here gets any CC 750ml format releases to be fair. We are lucky to get a 6 pack of some can beer from time to time. :grinning:

Doesn't matter. You think looking at the case of Huna sitting in my closet makes me feel any better? Nope.

Need me some Mexican Cake and I can't get it in Florida.

I mean I know I'm driving to South Carolina tomorrow and by brother in law has a bottle waiting on me but that's not the point. I can't get it in Florida.

BTW for realz, anything sitting on the shelves from Westbrook in Greenville I should be looking out for? Need some One Claw and lots of Coast goodies when I get up there.

I think youre both wrong and they just dont want a shitfest and a bunch of bitchy people, which is always the result of huge planned releases

The One Claw was out on our shelves last week, I heard there was an issue at the brewery...if you see anything from Holy City (they have 3 canned offerings and several varieties on draft) I can recommend them...I usually include their Pluff Mud Porter as trade extras...and if you like Coffee Porters, Palmetto Brewery has a very nice Espresso Porter....Thomas Creek has an IPA called Trifecta which is nice and inexpensive

WB just updated their fb page. "Mexican Cake bottles are SOLD OUT at the brewery, but we still have it on tap! Thank you everyone for coming out!"

I have no idea. A ton already went out into distribution.

Any clue how much they made this year compared to previous years? There is good and bad that comes with tons of new shops (i.e. accounts) opening. All of our usual spots go from 3-4 btl limits to 1 btl limits, but there is more availability across the state. I'm fine either way, but was just curious if that's just what we will have to deal with going forward, or if the brewery will produce more as more folks (i.e. craft stores) need access.

They have been regularly posting about bottling, and almost everyone knew it was coming. It had been in bottles for a week. Your comments are very selfish. I really don't think you understand how much it sucks trying to coordinate a big beer release.

If someone got 20 bottles, they were using mules. The limit was 6 per day. If someone wanted to come back the next day and get 6 more, there was no rule that said they couldn't. Hoarders will find ways to hoard no matter what. And most of the local beer people (at least active people in the craft scene) only got 6-12 bottles max. Many only ended up with a couple bottles, so it didn't exactly work out for everyone local. Let's not trash talk the locals. It was the BAMC release last year where an out-of-state dude pulled up with a truck and multiple paid mules to load up.

There are 4 batches, as far as I know. I don't know the size of all, but my guess is 60BBL per batch. I don't remember if they filled a big fermenter with it. I really didn't pay much attention how much was brewed and bottled. I just wanted it on tap, and I know a lot went into kegs.

HAHA! Yes they are. Looks like the locals should have been more current with BA and they may could have scored some. I am in VA and based on previous releases, was really hoping the timing would work out for when I am down in SC this weekend. Not complaining about being a few days late. The comments are more than making up for me missing out.

Those comments on the FB announcement are so LOL worthy. Too many entitled beer pricks all around, give me a break. Silent releases are really the only way to go, to not create even more of a mess.

And no, I didn't get any bottles, nor am I upset about it.
