So I'm a former Vegas resident but it's been years since I've been there and I know the city has changed a lot. I'll be there in 2 weeks and am in search of beers distributed there that I cannot get here in SoCal. I know Lee's was always the spot. Is there a few locations that are better than the others? Or is Khoury's still the best spot in town? I'll be staying at the Hard Rock but will be travelling all over to beer bars across the city. Still sad that the Frog is closed
there isn't much you can get in vegas that isn't also available in socal, but i would check khoury's, white cross and top shelf in addition to lee's. aces and ales also sells beer to go, but at bar prices so the markup is quite high (25% off on wednesdays, though).
Khoury's did some specialty beers with Joseph James that were real good. Couldn't say if those are still around, but it's worth a try
I'm in search of the local stuff and weird stuff. A friend of mine was just there and she was able to find 120 Minute which I've never seen here in SoCal. And yes, I'll check out Khoury's
Big Dogs makes some decent IPAs (I remember really digging War Dogs). That is if you can manage to find them fresh, which has proven to be very difficult when I've tried. But they do at least have bottled on dates on which is stellar. Best selection I've found is Khoury's for sure.
It's really just a bar and not a bottle store. Fun place to have a few beers. Usually a good selection of local beers on tap along with a fun and lively crowd.
War dog isn't bottled often. Maybe 2 times a year. But its really good. Someone mentioned Khourys and white cross. Atomic is a great bar. Decent beer selection, killer cocktails.
