My list has changed over the last year after having a Heady Topper but the top 2 remain the same.
    1. Pliny the Younger
    2. Hopslam
    3. The Abyss
Any other hopeful BA's with a similar list?

Presume you are referring to regularly brewed beers (at least once a year)?

There are various beers that get brewed as a one off for specific beer festivals (quite often variations of existing recipes) so these would surely be rarer than anything listed above?

I wasn't saying my 3 are the rarest beers or the hardest to get. Obviously where you live will determine your list but was just curious what everyone's top 3 are.

That's really the one whale I'd probably give up a lot to get but I'm at the point now where I know I'll never get it.

Thanks to some great BAs, I've been lucky enough to cross off a lot of my top wants over the last year. Things like Double Sunshine, Citra, Rare, King Henry, Heady Topper, and Pliny the Elder were all on my list at some point. Good luck on your quest OP.

Really surprised to see PtY listed so many times so far. I know it's all about where you live (which is true of a lot of the most elusive beers), but two years in a row I just happened to walk into the right bottle shop at the right time and Pliny the Younger was pouring. I don't even consider myself that much of a beer geek, so if it's that easy for me to get it, then it can't be all that elusive.

Actually, same goes for Abyss, Hopslam, Alpine beers, Westvleteren... I've had them all and they weren't very hard to get.

My list would probably be something like:
    King Henry
    Chocolate Rain
    Mother of All Storms/Beatification (tie)

But after I've gotten these, they probably won't seem so elusive either.

The big Belgian sours disappeared and only reappear for .00005 seconds before theyre bought out.

Surprised on PTY? It's only distributed in 5 states, it's not bottled, and it's only available for 2 weeks in the dead of winter. Anyone on the east coast who seeks it would have to take a day off from work, drive to Philly and wait on a line on a cold February day, and hope it's not tapped by the time you get a seat and place your order. Not to mention it happens to be on many different lists as "The best beer in the world" making it a beer many want to try.

OP - although Heady is fantastic, the more I drink it, the less impressed I become. To put it in other words, for me it becomes a very good DIPA instead of great. Bring on the hate...

    Cheers!
