Which styles do you have the most difficulty tracking down?
For me its Kvass and Faro.
Additionally have you tried every style listed yet?
Its something Im closing in on soon so Im wondring whom else has conquered the classifications.

I've never had kvass or faro either - and I don't think I've seen either around - but I'm not on that particular quest (yet? :astonished:) - I've had 80 of the styles listed, and probably have access to about 10 more locally if I made an effort.

Lindeman's makes a Faro, so that shouldn't realistically be that difficult to find if you're just looking to tick the style. You may not like it; it's particularly cloying and sweet.

I figure if i try all the styles eventually I'll better understand what seperates the good from the bad within them.

5 left I haven't reviewed: Happoshu, English Pale Mild, Biere De Champagne, Kvass, and American Malt Liquor. AML is easy as I just haven't decided which jet fuel I want to review yet; and I have seen DeuS around for Biere De Champagne, but they are all really old bottles.

It doesn't help the Dues is $30+ per bottle either.

I can get one readily available Sahti from Dogfish Head. I think that's strange.

Then again, I'm not even sure I like Juniper. Also, eisbock's seem to be rare.

I hate gin, but Sah'tea is one of my favorite Dogfish Head beers. Schneider Aventinus Eisbock and Kulmbacher Eisbock are both very readily available around me. Hitachino Nest Commemorative ale has also recently made a comeback after being gone for 3 years.

I'm pretty sure I've never had a Happoshu. I'm sure there's a couple other styles I haven't tried yet, but I can't think of any right now.

More cloying and sweet than most Lindeman's? Is that even possible?

If you can ever get your hands on Enlightnements Bier de Champagne I HIGHLY recommend, half the price of Deus and twice as delicious (also I am friends with the master brewer, good guy, ha)

Actually came here to say this as well. Its the only experience with Faro I have, so I'm sure there are much better options out there. However, it should be easy to find (Lindemans) if you're just looking to tick. And ya know what - its not bad either IMO.

I'm at 100 of 104 styles recognized here.

Never pulled the trigger on a biere d champagne due to price but figure I will soon enough.
Happoshu is nowhere to be found despite living in area with a high concentration of Japanese residents and a number of huge Japanese markets.
Never seem to be interested in trying a gruit when I see one.
Also missing euro strong lager which seems easy enough to rectify.

The only Faro I've ever had or seen is the lindemans which is just sugary sweet crap. Yes much worse than the "lambics."

Coffee IPAs. Day man from stone was out once. Mikkeller has koppi but it's hard to find out how fresh the beer is. It's a strange style but I do enjoy them.

Not including "rare" styles like sahti and for my area lambics. Brown ales. I get in the mood for them often and have only dogfish head India brown available occasionally.

Gose...found Westbrook over an hour away and it was fantastic. Can't find another Gose locally.

For a kvass, go to a specialty European food store. They have them. Big soda bottles.
