"Summer beers" available in Michigan.

    Sam Adams Summer Ale

    Are the three I can think of. What are some other summery beers? They don't necessarily have to have a citrus flavor to be considered summery, but that's what usually comes to mind for me. I ask because I plan on making a stop at a beer store later and picking something up, and wouldn't mind having something new/other than one of the three above.

    Twisted Helles from Frankenmuth Brewery.
    Whitsun from Arcadia Ales.
    Summer Time Ale from Atwater.

    Twisted Helles is one of my favorite summer beers, it is surprisingly good. Whitsun is good also, it has more body and flavor than most summer brews. I have not tried the Summer Time Ale yet, but I like Atwater's other brews so I expect it will be good.

    Love me some Kolsch during the summer - New Holland Full Circle fits the bill. Also a fan of Brewery Vivant Farmhand - light and crisp with just a bit of "farmhouse style" funk.

    Sunspot from Greenbush comes to mind. And not sure how summery it is considered, but i really like North Peaks Archangel. Nice summer wheat with a hint of cherry.
    Cant forget a personal favorite in Shorts Nicie Spicie. I am addicted to that one.

    Anderson Valley
    The Kimmy, the Yink, and the Holy Gose.
    Great available alternative to Westbrook Gose which is the PERFECT summer beer IMO.

    Oarsman for sure. I probably sound like a broken record at his point, but Blackrocks 51k IPA is swell. Left Hand Good Juju is also incredibly refreshing. It has just the right amount of gingery goodness, without being overpowering.

    I have always considered White Hatter to be a summer beer (well start of summer at least).

    Southern Tier's Tangier
    OddSides Wheatermelon (not my thing)
    OddSides Pineapple IPA
    Bell's Oberon
    Founder's Rubaeus


    And just because I picked up some more and could drink it all summer, Short's Dan's Pink Skirt.

    Another Nicie Spicie here, and even though it's year-round Soft Parade has always been a summer brew for me. Two Hearted as well.

    When I think about Michigan summer beers, I picture mowing the lawn then drinking a Shorts spruce pilsner!

    So do I. A lot of people I know disagree, but I think this is the best thing that North Peak puts out. Worth picking up if you haven't had it.
