I'm tempted to drive down Thursday for the New Belgium/Cascade event, but finding the time might be hard.

The taplist for today is a thing of beauty.

Event has been extremely well organized thus far. Short lines, friendly and fast service and outstanding beers. What else do you want?

Yessir! And golden canary with gooseberries on cask. Other brews as well but those are why I am going to be there tonight.

The Strawberry Fields kicked last night. You must have caught the page while I was in the middle of editing it this morning.

Today's list is Boneyard RPM (because we have to have an IPA), Epic Pfeifferhorn Lager (because we need a palate cleanser), and 15 sours:
    • Upright Blend Love
    • Russian River Publication 2009
    • Belmont Station 14th Anniversary Ale
    • Upright De La Seven
    • Upright Late Harvest
    • Upright Barrel Aged Five
    • Rock Bottom We Found this S**t in the Basement
    • Bayerischer Bahnhoff Leipziger Porticus (Germany)
    • Block 15 Demon's Farm 2011
    • Upright Fantasia
    • Block 15 Golden Canary
    • Tilquin Gueuze (Belgium)
    • Van Honsebrouck St. Louis Gueuze (Belgium)
    • Upright Lactovasilios
    • Block 15 Golden Canary w/Gooseberries (Cask)
BTW, the Publication is fucking stunning. Considering it tasted like sweaty gym socks 2 years ago, I'm amazed at how well it's developed. Oh, and the Rock Bottom pretty damn good too. They're not even sure which beer it is (hence the name), but after comparing the flavors and consulting reviews for the various "Flanders Family" of beers, we're pretty sure it's Ned Flanders.

Thanks for all the support thus far, everyone has been exceedingly patient with the lines and occasional lack of seating. Speaking of which, everything on the menu is pouring, and there's only 6 people in the bar. If you want to drink in peace, this is your chance.

I'll be trapped in the office until 4:30 or 5, please don't drink it all before I get off work!

What will the flight offerings be today? With 7 Upright beers should we be expecting 2 different flights? If so, what are the costs? How much are the Belmont 14th Anny bottles? Trying to monitor my Puckerfest spending lol.

The flight is $10, and contains Blend Love, Belmont 14, De La Seven, and Late Harvest. The other 3 are available in 5oz glasses for $3/each, so you can try all 7 for less than $20 if you go that route. Bottles of 14th Anniversary are $15.

Hah! I loved Publication two years ago when it "tasted like sweaty gym socks". That was my first Puckerfest and one of my first Brett beers-it really got me hooked on 'em!

I am sad to say that Golden Canary is gone. I was really hoping to get another glass of it today :slight_frown:

Any word on what the left over situation looks like? If all goes well (read; "if my flight gets into PDX on time"), I'm hoping to stop by around 11:00 tonight.

Looks like there's not a ton leftover. Though the Solera Sour Table Beer is still there, and that might be my favorite beer of Puckerfest, followed closely by Commons Eleanor. I would buy both by the case if it was possible, which in the latter case of Eleanor, it isn't. :slight_frown:

We blew a half dozen kegs last night, so we replaced them with "normal beers" this morning to try and add some variety to the tap list for people who don't dig sours. We do have several partial kegs left over, so we'll be rotating through them a few at a time until we free up some space in the walk in. As of today, we still have 8 sours pouring:
    • Solera Sour Table Beer
    • New Belgium/Lost Abbey Brett Beer
    • Cascade Apricot
    • Big Al's Flanders Red
    • Cascade Plum Rye
    • Trois Dames Saint ni Touche (Switzerland)
    • Burnside Barrel-aged Intl. Incident
    • Mikkeller US Alive
Thanks to all of you who joined us this week. Despite being some of the busiest days ever in the cafe, it seemed like it ran pretty smoothly and everyone was enjoying themselves.
