Verdict: Quite good. No hint of sourness. Huge coffee aroma and taste. As delicious as I remember from the tasting room.

No, I will not be drinking every other bottle tonight to check them all. But I'll keep them in the fridge just to be on the safe side.

 

PS - tomorrow is cuir in the TR.

 

Also tomorrow's Tasting Room archive release is Cuir.

 

they offered it back up for sale but it isn't a 2015 vintage... more like a second chance at more 2014.

 

These old taster glasses brought a question to mind: what happened to initiation parties? My first year in RS was only 2014 so I never got to go to one. Will they ever bring them back?

 

the anniversary party replaced the initiation party.

 

Yeah they used to be in January. The first one I went to was nuts with lines. Which started the clusterforks. What ever happen to those??

 

So based on feedback so far the issue is with the batch bottled 09/08/2014.

 

Doh. I went down to my cellar and grabbed my bottle with that date on it. I put in the fridge. Will report back later this week

 

I've had 2 bottles of this. First was not infected, per se, but it wasn't really all that good either. Second one was stunning.

Also I can't believe that I didn't realize yesterday was Monday... brutal whiff on the archive sale.

 

I was at the website by 10:49 am. Just a little too slow. And because the sale was on-line, no accidental 2009 BT substitutions.

 

They shouldve sent an email reminder, yesterday being a holiday and all (trollface)

 

The anniversary parties were there before the initiation party.

 

No sourness from my three M&Gs I've had, and one I gave to my boss. He loved it.

May 10th - Save the date! As mentioned in your welcome materials, rather than having an "initiation celebration" we're throwing an exclusive Anniversary festival for our Society members. This will be a large, off-site event featuring many of our archive beers, special casks as well as beer from other breweries and food from some of our favorite local restaurants. I do believe they had a first and second anniversary party too. The fourth anniversary was celebrated at (if I remember correctly) 10 different locations throughout may

 

What's the clue from last night? I know GM has silver wax but the background on the twitter pic has me stumped? A BT or CR variant perhaps?

 

Cuir confirmed for the tasting room. 75/25 blend.
