My wife grabbed me one from Top Hops yesterday, maybe drink it tomorrow. Had DB Huna this winter, Huna a couple of weeks ago and my last bottle of Xocoveza today, interested to see how this one stacks up.

So far DB Huna > Xocoveza > Huna

I understand these are "hot" beers", but the heat in Huna bothered me, didn't get that same heat in Xocoveza, Xocoveza was a lot more drinkable to me. Loved DB Huna though.

Huna has almost no heat too. You're gonna hate Mexican Cake FYI

Yeah, will be a roll of the dice for me for MC.

Heat wise, what order would you put these in : DB Huna, Huna, Mexican Cake, Xocoveza?

And I figure there will be some brave souls who will offer to take it off my hands too !

Mexican Cake >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Huna >> DB Huna >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Xocowhatever

(you didn't ask, but Abraxas would be somewhere in between Mexi Cake & Huna)

Did the thread change to "beers with chilies in them" (e.g. Pirate Bomb, Chili Jesus)?

Never had Huna, and understood Bomb is a little different, but I'm:

    Cake>>>>Abraxas>>>>>>>Bomb>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Xoco

Abraxas is great, just tends to be a little too sweet for me. Bomb is overall a bit more toned down. Xoco is very toned down. Cake is perfect

I grabbed a second one that I can trade if someone has some fresh hops in NYC or Westchester county. 4 pack of hop showers would work.

Drinking Mexican Cake now, it is excellent. Definitely getting some heat, but not bothering me. Glad I got my hands on this , well made beer, it is fantastic.

I was at Upright Brewhouse earlier and MC is on their upcoming keg list. I imagine that means this weekend or early next week. On-site bottles also available for $28.
