Lol very funny. He turned out to be right after all, just I think with the beers they have a ton of both online and TR gets it (this is showing at over 350 bottles online now)

I see what you're saying, I read your initial comment as they weren't doing anniversary parties when they had initiation parties. I'm glad they are putting more effort into their anniversary parties and did away with initiation parties

The only reasons you would want a BA PiaPT at this point are that you're a compulsive ticker or you want to sell it to someone who's a compulsive ticker.

It's not a particularly great beer. PiaPT was a mediocre to reasonably good beer to begin with, and while the barrel aged version was certainly better, it's five years old now and the Bruery's bottling process was not perfect in the first 12 - 18 months as far as oxygen intake. I'm not knocking them for that, they improved it over time, but the chances of getting a bottle of BA PiaPT and having it taste great are not on your side at this point.

I understand the desire to try some of these old Bruery beers, but only 290 bottles of BA PiaPT ever existed and a good portion of them have been consumed by now. The cost to acquire one vs. what's actually in the bottle is very much not worth it. If you get the chance to try it at some point courtesy of a Bruery employee or a friend who still has their bottle, absolutely take the chance, but don't romanticize it.

it would make more sense to release ba piapt in december than may.

They sold regular partridge a couple years ago on Christmas Eve for 100 bucks a bottle and proceeds went to charity. I did not buy one but I had a good sized pour of partridge last fall and it was amaze balls. The bottle I had was not at all oxidized.

Before cracking open a 07 Darkness, I couldn't land a date. But after, oh man, them bitches be all up on my jock!

I mean, the last time even a regular PiaPT showed up, it was attached with some auction/lotto thing and was around $100 or so bucks. It's certainly not worth the price of admission for tasting, but if you're going to do a vertical of really badly aged beers, I think it's on those "to buy" list who still fall for that novelty long after Stone's epic vertical taught us that we're morons.

This is my thought. I have one of each holiday beer, non BA and BA, and will do a full 24 bottle tasting when the last one lands, and charge $150 per person to get in on it. Got to make up the money some way....seriously though, it's more novelty at that point but cool to try them all together.

Stone's vertical though was poorly planned. 02 was a witbier, I mean, really?

If they have any BA Partridge left, its probably only a single case. 40 bottles werent given to members, and (at least) one case was sold as bottle pours in the tasting room the week before the 09 BT release. I dont know if any have been poured by them at events since then. I think that online sale would probably break the internet.

Not just poorly planned. There was some awful beers in that set.
