I was unable to find any distro information for Buxton, but I was wondering if Yellow Belly is available anywhere in Scotland? My mother is heading over there tomorrow for 10 days, and she asked if there is anything I would like.

Are there any other recommendations for local beers she should pick up?

    Thanks for any info!

Buxton beers shouldn't be too difficult to find depending on where in Scotland your mother is visiting

    Thanks for the reply @Aye

I know she's flying into Glasgow, but will also be visiting Edinburgh, Ayrshire and Campbeltown.

This is great information. I will definitely take a look at their stocks and/or contact them. I've heard great things about Two Ton as well.

    Thanks again @Aye !

I bought Buxton Two Ton and Ring Your Mother from Valhallas' Goat on Saturday. They had other Buxton beers too, but I had already filled a basket with other beers by the time I noticed them.

Is she Scottish or does she just have great taste (I'm from Ayrshire). Hope her beer hunt goes well!

And in terms of useful information - when I visit my sis in Edinburgh, I've always found Cornelius Beer and Wine to be a great option as well

No Scottish bloodlines to my knowledge. She's always wanted to visit, and what better time than her 60th with some friends while their husbands hit the links and Scotch distilleries.

Thanks for the Cornelius rec. It looks like there and The Beer Hive will be where I steer her.

I can vouch for both places. If you are twitter you can contact both before hand and find out if either have stock.

Pretty sure the Beerhive has sold all of its Buxton stock apart from what might be in the window display.

    Thanks for that update @Zimbo

If she doesn't find any I won't be too upset. I'm sure the bottle shop guys will give her some good recs if she stops in.

The owner of the Beerhive is super helpful. I also have a pretty good idea of their current stock so if there are styles or types of beers you like/are looking for I could help to refine your choices before your mom gets there. Let me know.
