Nice list for tonight... Any one know what time they will be tapping? Curious if it will be a major cluster F

In my experience, TH specialty keg tappings have never had issues with CF'ing. If anything, the kegs last a while and the place is 1/2 full and I've done 3-4 events there (KBS, etc.) . If they are "5oz pours" I would think you would get a pour if you showed up within an 1-2 hours of the tapping... doubt TH would be more busy than the WL CBSevent, which went as smooth as baby shit. I've had some dummies wait on me at TH...that would probably be my only concern. A disappearing waitress or a forgotten burrito. My 2 cents.

The cans of Grapefruit Sculpin I picked up at Rozi's last night were dated 5/12. So fresh and tasty.

Picked up Grapefruit Sculpin cans at Gentile's today, I had to ask--they didn't have space on the floor for the bottles, so they had the cans in back.

Tried it on draft last year at WoB. Not much barrel character, thin body. Hopefully its better this time around.

You were totally right... Staff is pretty bad. The event itself is pretty cool though!

Sit at the small bar on the cafe side and experience significantly better service. Tonight was amazing at Townhall; the event was handled perfectly. 8oz pours of the 'rarer' beers. 14oz pours for the rest of the list. CBS and KBS were obviously great, but Oksar Blues Blood Orange Tripel and Death by Coconut reminded me why I love Oskar Blues. James Beer from Evil Twin was fantastic as well; Perfect fruity/salty balance.

The Town Hall event was great. CBS was tapped around 5:50 pm. Kicked around 7:40 pm. Had 3 nice 9-10 oz pours at $5 a pour. An explosion of maple. Well worth the trip. The Oskar Blues Coconut was great too (I liked it better than Kitka for those who like coconut beers)

And free food truck tacos!! Plus tonight was buy 1 burger get 1 beer free (including everything on tap).

    Townhall event:

    My favs were def

    Oskar Blues 'Death By Coconut'
    Oskar Blues 'Blood Orange Tripel'
    Founders 'Mosiac Promise'
    Heavy Seas 'Blackbeards Breakfest'
    Platform 'The Cherimoya Project

    Total Misses:
    jackie O's really really Nelson
Revolution/wicked weed 'wicked fist' double red rye
The fact that they took off Alpine 'Nelson' for thier 'special event' I mean there was some great beers on the list... However, Nelson couldn't bump 'Founders 'all day' off the nights list? (Love 'all day' btw) just silly if you compare the two at a special event (especially if Alpine is new) not Founde's bashing. Just an odd descion.

As far as the All Day goes, it's pretty simple. If you are gonna be pouring KBS & CBS, you are NOT taking All Day off. Its just simple courtesy. KBS & CBS do not pay the bills at Founders. All Day does. Plus it's a "courtesy" thing. If someone was nice enough to allocate those kegs to you(albeit based on numbers), you do not take their other beers off.

I guess... Although, I was also chatting with Nate from GF/Alpine. They gave them one of like 10 or 12 kegs that came to Ohio. Think they didn't want it on tap? Not sure if founders would have went out of business if they put All day back on tommorrow for a special anniversary party. I get what you are saying though.

I heard the canned Grapefruit Sculpin tastes better than the bottled Grapefruit Sculpin.

I swore Founders was a Premium product. Or at least it was. Has that changed?

I think maybe the point got lost in my drunk message... Wasnt so much about it being 'all day'... They also left on a 'New Belgiun' Pale lager. I just thought it was odd to not have (also to actually pull) the two Alpine drafts that were already on tap. So I could see Nates POV as well. Honesty though it didn't matter... Had so much good stuff!

Scratch that your are correct, I looked at Cavalier's website and just saw founders on the front page but they do not have it in Ohio premium does.

Not really, but I will take cans all day long over bottles, for a multitude of reasons.
