A lot of folks I have talked to regard Spotted Cow as basically a "gateway" craft alternative to adjunct lagers. I think it has a fantastic, complex combination of malt and esters.

Also, I think Thirsty Dog Citra Dog is severely underrated. One of the best all citra ales I have had (though, no, I have not tried Zombie Dust or Pseudo Sue). But I liked it better than Hill Farmstead Citra.

I really enjoy beers brewed with ginger (Indeed Old Friend comes to mind). They tend to be unpopular.

Finally, the 2014 Sierra Nevada Beer Camp beers were all pretty damn decent to very good. Too expensive yes, but nowhere near as bad as the reviews would have you believe.

Fosters, probably as Australian as a meal a meal at The Outback! But I really like it.

Hopefully I won't be blacklisted! Redd's Apple Ale. At 5% you can drink a lot, and it's really crisp. Cleans the palate for the next round of heavier beers.

Golden Road Brewing Heal the Bay IPA, Point the Way IPA, Wolf Among Weeds IPA: there's a lot of anti-GRB bias among beer nerds in LA, but I don't understand it. The beer is fine.

I wouldn't say everyone hates it, but it doesn't get much respect on BA: Newcastle Brown. I think it's just super drinkable, and it's holds nostalgic value to me as it was one of the first beers to get me into better beers.

That one does have quite a few fans, though.

Their Bock is also pretty nice for the price.

Corona with lime in the neck. If the lime falls into the bottle, it's the worst ever.
    Newcastle brown ale
    John Smith's
    Tetley's
    Stones (not Stone; Google it)
    Guinness

    All have to be cold.

Any of the Mexican beers like Tecate, Sol, Pacifico, etc (except Corona which I despise). Throw a lime in those babies and I'm ready to roll, especially when Im making carne asada or pork carnitas. Reminds me of growing up in San Diego in the late 80s, early 90s

    Newcastle.
Pilsner Urquell has definitely got some love on BA but I love that stuff.
Naragansett goes for like $1.50 for a tallboy right next to my train station going into NYC and I have no problem putting those down on the ride.
Bud Heavy and PBR are so perfectly acceptable if they're cold.

And my out-there choices for this are:
Zeppelin by Revival. It gets an 82 on here and I have no idea why. To me it's pretty much as good as Sierra Kellerweiss, which I love, and I really think both are better than the famous European hefes and such just simply because they're fresher.

Ginga Ninja by Black Hog. Also an 82 on here. Are people crazy? This stuff is awesome and flies off the shelf at my liquor store.

I LOVE Lindemans framboise. I also enjoy smoked beers, one of my favorites is Eviltwin's Ashtray Heart. Everyone I know hates both.

Keystone light. Honestly not any different than other light beers and really cheap.

Pepper beers in general don't get the love that they should. Even in the often unpredictable fruit and vegetable beer category, they are predictably the 'Cousin Oliver' of the beer world.

The best example is one I'd always like a lot (and which used to be very hard to find): Crazy Ed's 'Cave Creek' Chili Beer.

I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for the bock. I wasn't even aware that they made anything outside of the porter and the Euro Lager.

Victory helios it's a decent saison and super cheap better with about a year on it also.
Seems a lot of people don't like it but it's not bad imo I've had much worse farmhouse ales
