I would never in a million years do that. They can keep their beers.

Well looks like I missed out again. On the bright side, we're not gonna have to eat top ramen all month now

So, obviously, the market will bear the $30 mark. I think it's obvious it'll bear much more than that. I hope Jacob ups the $ next go round. Let's figure out where the equilibrium is.

After lots of refreshing and 4 separate orders (all within the limits overall) I scored everything but the Nicaraguan. Pretty happy.

Besides the Nicaraguan one, anyone should have had no problem getting one if they wanted. Hell, you can still probably max out on the other 4 if you keep refreshing.

I keep refreshing for funsies thinking another regular nicaraguan one will magically appear for sale but all variants keep popping up so there seems to be at least some stock left.

@ModernTimesJacob I might have missed where you've mentioned this before, but I'm curious to hear your reasoning for not allowing proxies

Well, there's a few reasons, but the big one is that demand already exceeds supply by such a tremendous amount, if I were to open these sales up to--essentially--anyone in the world with a San Diego contact, it would only make them sell-out faster. We may get to the point where the volume of bottles available makes that necessary in order to sell them in a reasonable timeframe, but I'm not racing to set a new record for fastest sell-out. If I wanted to do that, I would take off the bottle limit and allow proxies. Again, that may happen in the future when the bottle count increases, but for right now, I think it would only cause frustration.

And apologies to everyone for the glitch at the start. That was frustrating for us as well.

    Cheers & thanks,

@ModernTimesJacob Does vanilla fade fast? I'd like to wait to drink this one with some friends and family later this summer, but if it's better fresh, I'll just drink it all myself the day I pick it up.

Grabbed a Coconut & Cocoa one since I grabbed one of those when it was BBA. It'll be fun to compare the two. Almost added a vanilla but the wife brought home a Mexican Cake and Founders Blushing Monk this week for me from her work trip so I held back.

That is a good question. It does hold up longer than things like coffee or coconut according to my cabal of resident beer nerds. Phil (my sales guy) says he recently opened a bottle of Bourbon County w/ Vanilla from 2010, and that while the vanilla had dropped off some, it was still very noticeably vanilla-y. Derek says he could still taste vanilla in a 6 year old beer.
