Good beers that turn fast.

IPA's and DIPA's turn pretty fast. I would drink them as soon as possible. The fresher they are, the better they will taste. Otherwise it loses the hop flavor and is just malt.

 

Pliny the Elder turns faster than any beer I have ever had, IPA or other.
Tons of other IPAs don't turn nearly as fast a Pliny.

 

Jai-alai IPA falls off after a few months

 

All the beers I have turn into urine pronto.

 

Funnily enough I find SA Boston Lager deteriorates badly after 2 months or so.

When fresh it's a beautiful myriad of maltiness and buttery notes.

If it's within the last few months etched on the bottle, it's lost all that makes it great.

I think this affects reviews heavily, and affects how people view SA in general.

Anything with a lot of Citra hops, from my experience.

 

Any IPA/DIPA'S...period.

 

Sadly, most of the bottled beers from the UK.

 

IPAs, all of them (120 min, you are excluded)

 

HDA...Hop Deterioration Anxiety

 

Any citra beer. Gets astringent and oniony after a month.

WC IPA's usually hold up, but I find that beers like Sculpin and Double Jack lose their hop flavors dramatically after a month.

 

really? I have 6 month+ FBS in my fridge that tastes just as good as fresh FBS, maybe it's a personal preference

I think Nugget Nectar is the beer that DROPS off the quickest. It goes from being a world-class amber/IPA to being a malt bomb in under 3 months…highly disappointing especially if your fridge is filled with them.

 

120 minute is shit before it goes into the bottle!!

 

I wrote an email to Lagunitas about a Sucks my wife bought for me. It was 4 months old and I live in NorCal. They apologized profusely and sent me a whole care package of Items. Glasses, bottle opener, coaster It is a shame that Lagunitas needs to be so fresh. All the Sumpin, beers lose flavor fast too. I asked them to put a good readable date on their beers but it hasn't happened yet.Now I only buy Lagunitas with my reading glasses in good light with a Julian date in my head.

 

The old version of Heady topper, when it was good, would last for 6 months and still be good.
Now it's terrible day 1

 

My wife kept buying me Dogfish head beers and they tasted bad. I found the date on one and it was like almost a year old.
