Grabbed the last one at my store today. More of an impulse since another bottle I wanted was way too, pricey, so this was my consolation prize

Havent gotten into sours so we will see how his goes.

Really nice brew, love that the nuances of the base tripel are still present and not overwhelmed by the tartness or brett. Would definitely like to see how this one develops over time.

Agreed. Very good beer, especially when considering the price point.

Its not a face melter by any means, but it does have a bright brett-sour character. In the end though the base beer is a tripel, and it tastes like a soured tripel. I personally enjoyed it a lot; if I want a sharp enamel-melting sour though I've got to go with Avery's raspberry which is an angry lacto bomb.

Have you or anyone tried one from the original bottling? Thinking of opening one this weekend.

I have not, I drank all mine from the original bottling. Still by now those would have been what.....4 years old or so? Please, open one and share how it is.

    I paid about $95 a case at a distributor.

Yeah I think it was around $96 with tax at the brewery. I think I've seen it for just about the same at two different distributors. Brewery is out now though. Still on the shelves at a few places near me (West Chester PA)

there's a few bottles left at my local shop. I got one and drank it last night. It needs time in the cellar.

I'm new to sours, wondering how do you think it will change with time in the cellar?

Just picked one up today, 10.99 local, enjoying it now

We got one case at my job, 12 750's and was able to score one. $9.99 surprised me, I was expecting $15+. Haven't opened it yet but looking forward to it. Just got into sours this year and I already like golden monkey. As someone stated earlier in this thread, golden monkey isn't fin du monde, but it's pretty solid so I'm excited to try this.
