Also, is that a typo where it says Beret (which I assume is the rebranding of bottleworks xii) will be a "nationally distributed, year round offering?" That would be incredible and awesome. I hope it's true.

Melange 12 wasn't part of the planned releases announced when the year started, so it wasn't supposed to have any specific exclusivity - Melanges 10 and 11 are HS exclusive.

Have they poured regular Melange 12 anywhere?

So Melange 12 isn't one of the two Mystery beers?

I don't believe so. They're usually quite clear when they release the mystery beers and the allocations email made no mention of it being one. @mattolesh can probably confirm but it seems like it's simply a beer that was either not part of the original plan for 2015 or something that ended up being renamed. Either way, sounds like a good beer.

Not the first time I've seen this, so I'm assuming it's true. My only question is why is there a 3/6 bottle limit? I guess just to make sure they have enough stock to fulfill allocations.

When you go to the Beret page online the store it says "Will see limited distribution and sales in the Tasting Room"

Must be a typo in the email?

just noticed this...they must use a ton of fruit for the fruited version of hottenroth to cost double what the unfruited version costs

    Hey guys,

I can add some info on a couple topics...

    1) Melange 12 is a new blend that was not announced at the start of the year. The beer contains Anniversary, Black Tuesday and White Oak Sap with vanilla beans, cacao nibs and hazelnuts. The cask that was served at Copperversary was Melange #12 with additional ingredients.

    2) Beret will see national distribution and public release in the Tasting Room. We want to make sure our members have the chance to try it before anyone else, which is why we decided to post it for members first. Public release and distribution are both slated to happen later this month.

    Cheers,
    Matt Olesh

    Additional unannounced RS exclusive allocations:
    Imperial Or Xata
    Mélange #12
    Hottenroth w/ Peaches

So assuming that the three unannounced exclusives are not replacements for any of the forty beers that were initially announced for RS, and also assuming that none of the original forty get cancelled, that means we have seen only 20% of this year's exclusives released. That being the case, we're on pace for 5.33 exclusive releases per month over the remainder of the year.

    Hold on to your butts.

They are ALWAYS on tap for SMM. Unless something random happens, I've never seen a beer that was missing.
