I have some old Stroh's openers from the 50's, and these 2 bottles from 2 defunct Akron breweries; a friend picked them up at a local thrift store for me for a $1 ea....very cool, and likely around 100 years old....also a Christian Moerlein tin sign from the 70's...and some old glassware from 60's and earlier....
Akron Brewing Co (cool ABC logo on back) and Burkhardts Brewing

Not to get too technical here, but Blimp City was in Brimfield / Kent area - not Akron (I live in Akron, and used to work right down the road from Blimp City....on Tallmadge Rd / Rt 18 area)

Reading these posts, I'm beginning to think more Billy Beer was saved than was ever drunk.

Here are the 'oldies' in my bottle collection. The antiques in the top pic are from Peterson BC (Grand Rapids), Grand Rapids BC, Kalamazoo BC, Battle Creek BC, and Furniture City BC (Grand Rapids).

The other pic are bottles that are more contemporary. The brown one is Fyfe & Drum; the others are labeled. Three of these are still full.

    I have a problem. Luckily, I don't think is as advanced as @jesskidden . I save stuff.
Beer can collection from when I was a kid (part of it, anyway)
A small collection of stuff from a brewery near our mountain cabin
    [IMG]
Some bottles I've come across over the years
    [IMG]
Some bottles my brother-in-law had from when he was in the service back in the 60s
    [IMG]
And my favorite, prints of Philadelphia bars (there are 12 total) from the early 1900s that I found in my Grandmothers attic
    [IMG]
My wife calls it junk (when she's being nice) I call it decoration, and since it's a MAN cave, I win.

    WOW! Great stuff!
Your wife might change her mind if she knew how much that stuff is worth. Like when you see Antiques Roadshow and the gilded, goose-decorated chamber pot that was passed down for generations and almost thrown in the trash is worth $50,000. All of a sudden, the great-great granddaughter is a huge fan of chamber pots!
