I also love the Whites......the Greens......and the Adirondacks. I'm never happier than I am in the mountains.

According to my wife I've acquired my 'mass murderer' face over time. As for Get Carter, I'm hoping you mean the original. I get all misty eyed about its Car Park Scene.

I completely agree. Something about elevation. Around here we have The Appalachians, The Smokies, The Brushy Mountains, The Uwharries, and some I'm leaving out. The worn down mountains way east near Chapel Hill/Hillsborough were islands in an inland sea before the Appalachian upheaval. For God's sake, The New River flows north out of North Carolina into the Ohio River system. Lots of crazy minerals and ancient artifacts. I learned to love mountains and geology as a very young boy.

I spend a lot of time in NC and WV too. The southern Appalachians are awesome also. We climbed Grandfather a couple years ago.

My brother-in-law owns a beautiful place in Foscoe, just across from Grandfather Mountain. He also has a place on top of Elk Ridge Mountain in Valle Crucis with a 360 panorama with Grandfather poking across the ridge to the south. We've been in deep snow and also made great blueberry pie with berries from the yard on July 4. I hate leaving the mountains every time.

My beer fridge shelves are bowing pretty badly- I think the second beer fridge is a great idea- although I have the best of my beer cellar also sharing space in my wine fridge... so I guess I need a third

My best friend works at a sports bar. I am going to see if he can hook me up with a fridge/cooler. If not, I am checking out craigslist for something. I ran out of shelf space and now there I have a bunch of beer on the floor :grinning:

@5EKF , if I wasn't so comfy on this couch I would post a pic of my overloaded beer fridge in the garage and the 2+ cases next to it. Granted, I have leftovers from a party I threw this weekend but I am so out of room. Too much good stuff to protect from the southern heat- it was 91 today. Oof

91 degrees?! Yikes @gothedistance. The high was 58 with a low of 46 here in Chicago.

I didn't really get a chance to talk to him. He was with a bunch of the other players hanging out and enjoying drinks and I didn't want to bother him too much, especially with what happened the evening before. He was very nice and polite about getting the picture though, (Brandon Sutter was the one who took it) considering this was the afternoon right after they were eliminated by the Rangers, haha
