Lawson's SOS CT Lookout Thread

A guy at bevmax just said the end of June. But I don't think he knew what he was talking about. He also told me it was illegal to return the extra beer I had from a party over the weekend, although he did it anyway

Just called my regular spot. Guy said he thinks maybe Friday. Said he tried but did not get any yet, which makes me think that it may have hit the big stores already.

 

thought the thread title said "lawson's sos cookout thread" for a second and was like, "i'm down, where?" alas.

 

So nothing today huh?

 

spoke with a good size store up here in Tolland County yesterday and his distributor was telling him "mid June". Maybe next week?

 

As from what i heard, there would be the same amount or more Lawson's now because two roads installed new fermentors which will be up and runnimg this month i think.

A lot of distributors only have 5 case minimums. Its true that you dont want to make a bunch of extra deliveries just for a small order to get Lawsons.

Like returning a keg? The distributor will pick it up as an empty keg even if theres beer in it so that doesnt make sense.

I THINK SOS is going to be back to regular production this month. Probably 2 batches per month. And then Super Sesh cans coming at some point soon, maybe end of this month or in July.

 

Last batch that hit seemed to be extremely spotty re: distribution. I know a few stores got a smaller delivery several days before another fairly small wave went out. This at least applies to Danbury & Stamford areas.

 

Sounds like we should not expect to see it this week then?

 

I called my regular spot that typically gets 2-3 cases of SoS and they have not received anything yet. They are wondering where their distribution is because its been at least 3 weeks now without seeing any.

 

I'm on the email list for a store in the Hartford area and the email they sent this afternoon said "The powers that be have informed us that Connecticut will not be seeing a distribution of SoS until further notice".

Not trying to spread rumors, just passing along the information I received. For all we know, "until further notice" might mean less than a month.

got same email from one like 30 min from me. just brought basically all of mine out to cali to share with my cuz & some peeps. 1 can left. figures.

 

The same store just sent a follow-up email saying to disregard the first email and sorry for the confusion. They're good people there and very dependable which is the only reason I posted their original email here...that's what I get.
