hi guys in a few days I'll be going to Terminal 5 to see a show.
seems maybe the best bar closest to the venue is Valhalla?

am I missing one? Maybe one that has sours or any rare beers?

Pony Bar isn't far off and the owners of Pony opened a pizza spot across the street with beer too. The Whole Foods at Columbus Circle also has some beers on tap and single beers in cans and bottles for on-site consumption.

Just know that Valhalla gets really crowded and loud, and it's a fairly expensive bar. If you're looking for a quiet-ish place to enjoy a drink, I would hit Pony before Valhalla.

At the moment, Valhalla has nothing particularly rare, but they have Other Half IPA and Victory Sour Monkey.

Pony has Allagash Monmouth Red (sour), Other Half Motueka Pale, and Victory Sour Monkey as well.

Beer Authority and Beer Culture are not too far away. I would recommend Beer Culture over Beer Authority

They are all fine. Pony Bar gets really crowded too...I'd probably just hit up the place with the more appealing tap list.

If you're only hanging for a short time Pony Bar and Kiabacca next door would give you the best selections. The pizza at Kiabacca is really good too.

Everyone's suggestions are on point. Valhalla, Pony Bar, Beer Culture and Kiabacca are the only real spots to go.

I personally suggest Pony Bar/Kiabacca since they are adjacent and between their two tap lists you're bound to have a great time. I didn't even know Kiabacca existed until I stumbled in this past Friday and they had a better list than Pony.

    Cheers!

Pony Bar makes their draft list available online and right now they're showing some incredible beers. They frequently have solid Carton beers, and Grimm is going to catch on soon.
