I agree it should be banned. Founders is obviously marketing this product to babies and that is completely unacceptable.

But seriously who cares what's on the label, even if underage drinkers did gravitate towards fbs because of the label, which is pretty obvious they aren't. It would probably slow down drinking. I know I can drink a ton of the cheap beers underage kids buy, but only a few fbs. It might actually lower alcohol consumption if underagers drank this product over a cheap light beer.

It's safe to assume that Maggie had absolutely no idea what she was vetoing, right?

I voted for her, I agree with her views on most things, but the veto message and rationale aren't just asinine - they're concerning in their lack of any sort of connection to what this vote was about.

Yes, the baby on the label definitely encourages more underage drinking than the glorified BMC/liquor commercials where everyone is "down for whatever". The NH government really needs to get into censoring these commercials next. </sarcasm>

Take this with a grain of salt since I was drinking heavily but... We stopped at the Founders booth at ACBF and I have a very vivid memory of the fella working the booth telling me they're going to do a NH specific label next year. I hope it wasn't a drunken fantasy :-).

Time to change the title. NH will not be denied again! Breakfast Stout is in! Veto override! Watch out Hassan, there will be babies drinking stouts all over the place now!

So do they sell "Not Your Father's Root Beer" in New Hampshire? IMO more kids would be likely to try to drink that than FBS...

Yes, but you're assuming politicians act logically and debate amongst each other civilly while imagining all sides of an issue...

The regulation is on the label, not the contents.

LIVE FREE - Unless you want a beer with a child on the label - OR DIE should be all on license plates

Was talking to someone at Smutty this past weekend about this label, he said they don't have any issues because this image depicts a "cherub" not a child.
Phenomenal beer btw, best thing Smutty produces, nothing is really close IMO....

Also, heard that this is being pushed through the house and senate as the governor is way off on this matter....so this might be a moot thread sometime soon.
