Nice line up David ! I have become a huge fan over the last few months of Pure Hoppiness again, they are just killing it recently with this beer. Sip of Sunshine is very good, not as good as Double or Triple Sunshine though, but then again not much is. This batch of Nelson is great, I still have more I lLove It for the long weekend, I Love It ! Noble is on top of their game and I'm stoked they are now bottling more of their IPAs.

    Cheers…….

I'm having BW nachos at some point this long holiday weekend and I'll give you my take as we both have been eating them for 8 years now.

    Cheers…...

brought a bottle of Melrose back from my LA work trip last week that I just opened up, and am wishing that I had dumped my dirty laundry and brought more bottles home!

Still had rye and amalgamator today when I stopped by for lunch. Had rye last weekend at a share. While I thought it was good I dunno if it was $25 good. That's pretty pricy

Wish system of a stout was on. It's on the upcoming list and the bar tender said he expects it June 7th

I think this might of flown under the radar but I was there yesterday and they tapped their collaboration with Left Hand Brewery , Electric Ladyhand , I tried it and thought it was a solid double brown ale

Cool little teaser on Insta regarding Beachwood's 4 Year Anniversary celebration ... July 11 starting at 10:30am. 40+ Beachwood beers, debut of Hopernicus DIPA, pickle bar, etc. Looking forward to it!

Crazy to think that I went there a few years ago and they are growing so fast nowadays. One of the beers that sticks out from memory is the Muscles from Brussels, Jean Quad Van Damme.

How crazy do the anniversary celebrations get? It's not ticketed is it?

Define "crazy". Last year, they instituted a two hour limit on tables and there was a pretty deep line 45 or so minutes before they opened. Mildly crazy but not like Hill Farmstead/Cantillon crazy.

I remember seeing it on the "Coming Soon" board for a while, and then it was gone. Maybe they brewed a bad batch?

Yes, last year was stupid crazy. And this year will be even more crazy sh!te. I'm not going. Been to the first 3 years. Not this year. I'm done with the craziness. I still think they should do a 1 week celebration with special releases everyday. Take a hint guys. Like Societe.

Thinking "go the next day" strategy might work here ... avoid crazy shit and just settle for the leftover taps on Sunday.

My thing about last year was. . .I arrived there 30 minutes before opening and the line was already very long. Still had to wait another 30-40 minutes to get a seat. And when I ordered the food special it was already gone. I had several glasses already and I was hungry. I don't know, maybe I'm old and really don't care for all the crowd these days. But yea I think I will wait till the following day and go. I know BW and the people going will have a blast but I think it is so out of control these days. They should come up with a better system for everyone to enjoy.

    Hey guys...some FYIs:

We'll post a lot more info about the anniversary, including a complete tap list over the next couple of days. Recommendations for a week-long celebration in the future have been duly noted, but for this year we are committed to our one-day event on July 11. Bottles of our anniversary DIPA, Hopernicus will be released that day.

System of a Stout bottle release is this Saturday, June 6 at 11:30am. Both locations. Limit 6.

Barrel-aged Full Malted Jacket, which I originally said would be released June 19, is being pushed back a couple of weeks (I'll update with the exact date when we have it). Don't worry, there's no problem with the beer--in fact I tasted it the other day and it's fantastic. We just have so much going on in June and a BA beer is much easier to push back than anything else.

We'll be doing a draft-only release of this year's LA Beer Week collaboration with Drake's Brewing on Friday, June 19 (the day before LA Beer Week begins) in Long Beach. Drake's brewers will be on hand. More details on the beer to follow, but it's called Pavel Czechop.

I won't go into details because it's not Beachwood release-related, but we do have several epic guest events lined up for LA Beer Week...check out our website for info.
