Just moved to a tiny apartment and need to unload bottles, so count me in if it goes down.

I'm a recent west coast transplant as well, and would love to join this bottle share if possible! I came out here from Portland, so plenty of harder-to-find de Garde and other PNW stuff to share

Most bars don't allow these shares, so we'll have to rely upon the generosity of a stranger to open their doors.

For realz though, I'm in Manhattan so not sure if you want to travel to the big island. Might be able to host, but there are many others who would do the same.

@EZ_E get your ass to the Big Apple and let us know when you're down to drank

My Brooklyn apartment filled with two children (one only 4 months old) is, unfortunately, not the most appropriate place for a bunch of dudes to get relatively tipsy while piling up a bunch of glass on the table.

Between New York residents' unending distrust of other people and small apartment sizes, bottle shares in this city never seem to get off the ground (unless they're at a bottleshare-friendly bar, a la This Is Happening). It's a shame there are no public parks where drinking is permitted.

Yeah, I hesitate to offer up my place because I wouldn't want a bunch of random dudes in my home.

I mean, I have a cat and I wouldn't want anyone allergic to feel left out.

    Yeah, that.

Are there any bars in Brooklyn where we could do this in off hours, maybe starting at 12pm or so on a Saturday?

Well... Threes Brewing claims to have created their backyard, via Kickstarter funding, to be a "community green space"... This would be the perfect opportunity to see if they're willing to put their money where their mouth is. I'm not the right person to approach them though, having been semi antagonistic towards them on this forum in the past.

But might be worth a try.

For awhile, Covenhoven was doing a bottle share once a month on a Sunday, but after a couple I think it fizzled out. They might be open to it, however.

I'd be up for a BA bottle share type thing and I am also going to be at Threes tomorrow afternoon - I actually also host my own tastings at my apt every few months by beer type.
My next one is Gose (14 different kinds) - I tend to limit it to about 5 people though.
Also working on a stout tasting sometime in late fall or early winter.

Let me see if I can work out something with my super, I have a big rooftop patio but I'm technically not allowed to have more than 2 guests, I'll keep this thread updated.

So the biggest bittersweet let down of the century just happened. My Director of Sales called me into his office to offer me a promotion and then followed that up with "Now you're not going to NY anymore"

I really hope this thread at least got a bunch of people on the same page for a bottle share out there. I will 100% come out at some point and will update because I'd like to do one whenever that may end up being.

    Have a great summer everyone!
