Big deal. If it weren't for Uranus, you'd be nothing.

Really? There were 2 bottle limits around me (Ann Arbor), and it still sold out in less than a day.

Was sitting on the shelf for $1.99 as singles. There were probably 20 botles left when I grabbed my 6. In hindsight I should have grabbed ten or twelve.

Looks like next week for SE Michigan.

Looking forward to this one, and again, if someone sees a Neptune in July and is willing to take cash for one if I'm out of town during its release, you'll be handsomely rewarded!

Not really, you'll probably just get seven bucks.

Got a sixer on Thursday in Barry county. We must have been the 1st to get Uranus. Great beer!

Got my six pack of Uranus earlier today and probably gonna crack one Thurs or Friday. Not really digging the color scheme on this one compared to the others but that's nothing to complain about. Hope it's tasty, have high hopes it's a worthy followup to Saturn!

@JonnyRebel said hed get out a couple of bottles of the Planet Series, so waiting to see when those come in to try those. Im already grateful that he would send them my way, without committing to sending something back, he might get something in return though.

    Very smooth and delicate.

I have to say the look doesn't follow the nose or taste. I was expecting something similar to Dark Penance which I didn't care much for but Uranus is a pleasant surprise.

I may be going to Bell's next weekend. Do they run out of these Planet Series beers quickly? If I can't find any at my bottle shop this or next week, I'll be going there on the way back from Grand Rapids mostly in hopes of finding a six pack.

Picked up a couple bottles today. I really only wanted to get one of the two bottle max because I like to "spread the wealth" even if it's indirectly, but the owner strongly suggested I get two like he's done before with this series, so I went ahead and got another bottle.

Will be opening a bottle up this weekend, I figure. Only Neptune to go and I'll be done with the stress of wondering how, when, or if I can get any bottles.

this is the best black IPA I've had. I recommend opening Uranus tonight and definitely buy more if you can find it. I've made it through 7 bottles since Thursday, I don't have much restraint. Mars is still my favorite but Uranus is a phenomenal example of the style

What'd you think of Saturn? I loved that beer.

From what I've read, Uranus is one of those "this is a Black IPA?" black IPAs. I'm all for that, some people aren't. Dark Penance from Founders for instance was a craaaaazy black IPA.

loved Saturn and still have one in the fridge. It wasn't you typical tasting barleywine which is maybe why I dug it so much, lots of vanilla and caramel and no alcohol burn. I wish I would have put a blindfold on before trying Uranus because I think just the sight of how dark it is told my brain that it was going to be super malty. While there is malt there, it doesn't seem super toasty or burnt in any way. There's a lot going on in Uranus and I think it's a very well balanced beer. If memory serves, I don't it's quite as dark as dark penance

This might go quickly. I went to the general store yesterday to grab some and the palate in the cooler was half gone already. I visited around the same span of time for Saturn, and that was pretty full still.

i think that is a daily allowance, and they restock it each day.

My 2 closest shops both got it in on Monday, and by the time I got there, it was gone. They even had a 2 bottle per customer limit. Dang.

That'd make sense. I find it hard to believe Uranus will be harder to find than Saturn was for most people are like Neptune will be.

The store I go to posted it on Facebook and I gunned it over there as quickly as I could to make sure I got some. The ONLY perk of being jobless -- not missing out on limited release beers.
