I'm back in town tonight. def gonna try and make a run there tomorrow to get a few bottles before they dissipate.

A few more details:

Rarest of the Rare returns after a 2 year hiatus. We've brewed new special releases, we've stockpiled past favorites and we're ready to blow the roof of this proverbial Beer Palace!

Expect three bars flowing with bourbon barrel-aged, sour beers and a melange of experimental beers you've grown to know and love over the last two years.

My thoughts exactly. Good thing I have a few of those in my fridge in case I decide not to go down.

 

Two years ago, I thought the "Rarest of the Rare" was a well ran, very enjoyable event.

Of course two years later Smog City has clearly gained a much larger following. I'm still hopeful that this year will be even better.

 

Cuddlebug bottles all went on aloha time. No mas. Total bummer.

 

Had it on tap yesterday so good.

 

Have to agree. Just opened a bottle and was so good I had to find this thread and post. Outstanding peach flavor. Can't wait to taste again next month.

Shit son, and Phantom Carriage is doing their night of the living barrel aged dead that same day. South Bay going off the chains on the 27th.

Hey guys. Has anybody tried Unity Tart Saison yet? How does it compare to Council Beatitudes? More, less tart? Just curious as to the flavor profile. Thanks.

 

Had Unity out of the bottle last night and it's tasting pretty nice. Dry with a subtle lactic tartness, not much yeast character. Haven't had the Council beer to compare. At the price point I heavily dig Unity.

 

How much are places selling Unity for?

 

It just hit distro yesterday but so far I've seen between 7.50-9

 

So I started reading the Pacific forum when I was getting ready for the FW Invitational and have become more fascinated with your threads (even though I can't get any of this stuff) than I am with the Southwest forum. That being said I have two questions for you guys:

1) If I was to try and organize a trade should I be going after Smog City, Toolbox or both (meaning, will traders have easy enough access to both)?

2) Which beers would you recommend first? I typically like IPA's Stouts and Sours the best.
