Thanks for clearing that up. Like I said, i really enjoyed the beer, just wondered why it took so long to hit the shelves. Keeping cranking out great stuff! Any chance of some peach beers with the big harvest expected in the hill country this year?

Anyone seen dates on cans of Delusion later than June 08 around town? If so, where?

I think 7/13 is the freshest I've had. HEB in vintage park

I had one yesterday and it was pretty good. For the price I'll continue to buy.

There's tons on the shelves in Bryan / College Station...all from the initial 4/29 batch. No thanks.:slight_frown:

Have been seeing the latest (last?) batch around lately of late July... 27th or 29th. They have really dialed it in on this batch. Best of the run so far.

I agree with @tpgraham This late July batch is close to perfection IMO

Will be sad to see this one go, as I suspect this is the last or second to last batch of 2015

Next Hopothesis Citra and mosaic, @FreetailBrewing learn from your mistakes, and get me some of that shit as fresh as possible.

Anyone seen fresh dates on cans of Hop Delusion recently? If so, where? All I've been able to find are 4/11 dates. I would have expected additional batches by now, as like years past.

Just lots of the 4/11 around here, too

Same problem. I love this beer but they always seem to mess this up. Brew it in smaller batches, let it get consumed, brew it again. Heck, plan to do small weekly or biweekly releases during the season.

I am not touching two month old HD.

When I said the same thing to a Karbach rep doing a tasting at a local HEB last year about this time, he said 2.5 month old HD was still tasting great!!!

Good thing most beer consumers are less picky. Typically, a brewery gives its IPAs/DIPAs an "official" shelf life of at least 90 days, and most IPAs/DIPAs are perfectly fine if consumed in that time period. Breweries have better things to do than to tie up their brewing equipment, fermenters, and storage space with beers that ultimately comprise a very small amount of their bottom line. I'd imagine Karbach is far more concerned with keeping Hopadillo and Love Street on shelves than rotating 2 month old HD, as they should be.

BTW, I drank a 4/11 HD over the weekend and it tasted fantastic.

The 4/11 HD I'm drinking right now is still great. Just would like to see or hear that a new batch is coming out soon! Freshest is bestest!
