    Metropolitan No. 2? Surprising.

You have to admit, the styles they do, they do very, very well. Dialed right in.

Oh, definitely -- I'm just surprised it took No. 2 with the types of beers they brew -- that is; not the hot new trend all the tickers are after.

Personally, I love Metro's brews, but I'm more into traditional styles.

Well it sounds like they asked experts, not tickers

Yeah? Know any of these "experts?" :grinning:

(I actually have heard of one, but none of the others)

Who in Chicago hasn't heard of Edmar?

And anyone who frequents Fountainhead knows Cleetus. There are a few local beers with his namesake, too. I've even seen tap handles bearing his image.

Hopleaf and Scofflaw owners, buyer for Binny's ... seems like a respectable enough panel to me.

Ahem..... some panelists have their own agendas, as always. To move slow moving beer off of shelves, for example.

Pipeworks sells itself. Remember what I said about agendas up a few posts.

Pretty simple actually. Each voter gave 10 pts to their #1, 9 pts to #2, etc. Half Acre tallied the most points across these voters.

Lists like this are pretty worthless anyways. Pick another 6 judges and the list would be completely different. My list would be different from yours, which would be different from someone else's, etc...

IMO, the only list that matters is my own.

At the end of the day, the only "list" that counts to me is my own.
