Cubano/White Oak Schedule

    It's only the third month of the year and CCB is off their Cubano Espresso/White Oak Jai Alai schedule. I'm not picking. I perennially LOVE both of these beers and the every other month schedule on the 2015 brew calendar was a highlight for me. To quote my parents: "I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed."

    Oh nooooooooo

    This was great news when the schedule dropped and may have been a bit ambitious. But hey! Cherry Grove trades 1:1 with Flora b/b! ...or

    CCB is tight, we'll get our Cubano.

    From what I have heard. There was an issue with defective cans (leaky) that has affected the release of both Cubano and White Oak. They April batch of white oak will be draft only

    I just heard they got a little behind with Huna day and didn't want to rush anything. Will ask around later tonight.

    Really wish they could find a good source for cedar again so they can continue the Humidor series.

    I asked a guy at Brew Hub a week or so ago about WOJA and he said they (CCB) were debating a cost issue and it was on hold for now.

    Yes.

    When it was released I called Brew Hub to see if they had it for sale there...the girl told me the first batch was all allocated out for sale at the brewery and distro, but a 2nd batch was on the way and they'd have some there for sale.

    Then a week or so ago I asked about that 2nd batch and was told they didn't actually brew a second batch because of cost issues they were trying to resolve.

    So who knows.

    CCB has been having issues with Brewhub and will not be brewing through them, from what I've heard. This batch is made at CCB and should taste better and won't have the canning issues. It's back and probably will be back on schedule. Also, there's still a little bit left at the brewery and it will hit the stores next week! Cheers!
