Was able to avoid some friendly fire from the SWTFYW on friday but was VERY fortunate enough to receive a box from @snowmageddon:

A while back when discussing NE holy water, I mentioned Trillium was at it again using their water efficiently by bottling Artaic and would love to jump on the Trillium train. No sooner Josh BM saying the Soul train was heading that way and would look out for me. Started dancing when I opened the box, which seemed to have endless bomber coming from it.

My first Jack's Abby!! Sour wheat lager
Lunch - this has been kn my want list for quite awhile
FTB Lily - never heard of this brew but im sure its delish
Fair Maiden - I had this beer earlier this year and must say it is an underrated IPA glad I get to enjoy another
And the two Artaic, of course my 12DOS target will enjoy one

Thanks and Josh for this badass box! Worked on my porch all weekend in 87 degree weather. I'll make sure you pay for that one!

This is where I'm at, and while I'd like to not have my ratings come across as a "5 ****", I also believe that a change in rating scale and change in taste are natural, and that part of what I was rating was the experience of drinking that beer, so I've decided to leave my 5 ratings alone, in fact while I will increase a rating (for example if I first tried an IPA with a couple months on it, then get to try it fresher) but won't decrease one.

What, no OE chugging video??? Also, the SWTFYW label should be removable incase you wanted to keep it forever...

Yeah I'm very stingy with 5s. Now that 4.75 is available I'll probably give a lot of those. Of my 5s, the only one that I think was overrated was No Crusts, but I was still pretty new to the ticking game when I rated it and it was super novel. Everything else is pretty much consensus best in class (Heady, Vanilla Rye, Bro Soigne, etc.)

    I joined July 2014
    5365 Total

So almost the exact same total (although like you I'm sure I don't always re-tick beers especially on a long night like last Saturday and I only tick once per 25.4 oz)

Wow, you've checked in over 5,000 beers in the less than a year... My math ain't great, and I'm assuming alot of those aren't full pours, but that's an average of... maybe 13-15 different beers checked in everyday. That sir is impressive!

I have 1012 unique untappd ratings, including only four with 5 starts, I guess I'm a little too tough a grader?

AA Hint: My target did not recieve a box from the SWTFYW (which is surprising)

Edit: no I'm not sending to myself

I retick once per container. If I sat down and had a 6-pack of something (which I pretty much never do and can only remember doing once (and that was to get the untappd badge)), that'd be 6 checkins (and alot of times I'd skip some of those probably). On the other hand, if I drank a growler of something (which probably happens more often...) that'd only be 1 checkin. I really don't care all that much about individual checkins, more about uniques. Its mostly a way to remind myself 'yeah, I had this beer on this day at this place, and this is what I thought of it'.

That's my primary purpose, but since I also buy-in for the analytics, I use it to keep rough track of my overall consumption as well. Obviously bottle shares and fests skew everything a bit with all the 1oz and 2oz pours, but except those "spike" days it's a pretty good estimation of how many "servings" I had.

It's nice to be able to go to Untappd to see if I've been hitting it a little harder than I should be, for an extended period of time, without noticing otherwise. I've gotten myself in check a couple times from this. So bust my balls all you want, I'm going to keep double checking in bombers.
