They were doing growler fills of Last Call last week during Grass Fed Lettuce. I was pleasantly surprised at how solid that IPA is. Damn tasty.

I'm going to be disappointed if they stop doing growler fill permanently (once IPA and stout run out). Particularly since I just got one a little over a month ago.

Is this a rumor or should I be legitimately concerned as well?

They aren't filling them right now (other than IPA and stout). Seem indefinite as to the timing.

got in at 12 and got my two. I do like that they doubled up the releases. That back to back trip down to S.D. was killing me for Virgin and Lettuce.

You could always call and work something out. They were pretty nice to a few SD folks I overheard that came in to pick up bottles from the previous week. They seem willing to work with their customers but my guess is if were to be abused that may stop quickly.

I emailed them about holding my older till early July and within a couple of minutes I got a reply that they would hold the bottles for me.

It seems from the BPT posting that they don't have a specific time anymore to pick up after the initial pick up time. I'm glad about that but for their sake I would put a close to the window like 2 months.

Anyone else feel a bit disappointed in Toolbox? I heard great things about them when they first started up. So far I have tried exact 2 of their sour beers (not the best sample size, I realize that) and I felt both were slightly above average at best.

Bottles, taps - what did you try and where? It makes all the difference.

It's pretty difficult to rate a small local brewery w/o visiting a handful of times - difficult to do if you don't live nearby. Plus, not everybody is into sours, or at least in detail. I'd be hard pressed to take bunch of sours and say "this one is great; this one is average; this one is good; etc." I generally can pick out the sucky ones. LOL

Both bottles - X Lupus and The Virgin Cherry. They were definitely decent sours, but compared to other sours coming out of SoCal breweries right now, they were at the bottom of my list so to speak.
