    Hi:

I live on the East Coast and am looking for a bottle or 2 of Kern River Citra DIPA. Is there any place that sells it? Alternatively, is anyone interested in trading a bottle for some Westy 12? Or some Pretty Things beers from Massachusetts?

    Thanks!

Won't be released for a while still. Very limited distro and highly coveted. I believe the next release is late August/September time frame from what I was told today. Funny I just picked up two bottles of their Just Outstanding IPA today, that's one really good beer as well that you might look into.

    Cheers.....

Citra comes and goes fast. Best thing is to watch the trading board or shoot them an email...they will respond with their ETA on the beer, then you can setup an ISO. Good luck, it's well worth the effort.

Yes, don't discount Just Outstanding. It's a great fruity, floral IPA.

Fyi Pretty Things gets distro out here and we're starting to see more bottles. That said you probably don't have to give up a Westy 12 to land a Citra.

JO's been MIA in the LA and OC area for most of the year. Where did you find some JO if you dont mind me asking? I was going to wait till the Citra release this year and pick up a case or a keg of JO while getting Citra at KRBC. Them and ABC are some of California's best.

It has been MIA for way to long. My buddy went to a bachelor party craft weekend up north and brought me back some KRBC stuff in return for some Alpine I just picked up. I agree, Alpine and Kern are at the top for my taste.

    Cheers.....

Guess I'll just have to wait till the Citra release. Its going to be even crazier at KRBC this Aug/Sept.

Citra was brewed Last week and should be ready mid August. No info yet on number of bottles or if there will be any distro.

I'm hoping this one is, no bottles and 1 growler only.
I'll make the trip up there for some camping if it is.

Seriously. I used to grab bottles of JO pretty regularly, can't remember the last time I saw some though. I wonder if KRBC could offer a possible reason for this.

I haven't seen it for quite a while. How long was Dirty Hippie sitting in their tanks? Also is that one being bottled/distributed?

I was joking, I have no idea why there'd be less JO. My real guess would be that they're pulling back from SD/LA because they're having trouble keeping enough at the pub and Bakersfield (etc), but you'd have to ask them.

Also, based on my experience pestering them about the release last year, they're very responsive to random inquiries. I bet if you asked they'd tell you.

JO and Class V are nearly impossible to get on the Central Coast as well. My Distributor that normally brings it in landed me a case of each in January, and we haven't seen it since. The Just Outstanding sold out in less than 24 hours.

Man I shouldn't have come on this thread, it's just making me want a JO.

Wait until September and a batch of Knuckle Sandwich should be out too

Diry Hippie only lasted about a week or so, we just just got a growler filll last weekend and they were about out (it was released the week pryor). I heard something about them bottling it next time...

JO/Class V/Isabella Blonde are always in stock at Bakersfield stores, I can get some pretty much all the time if anyone is interested

Citra is pretty much impossible to get. They were out of bottles at the brewery on the release day after an hour! You can barely get a bottle locally...a few stores had them and they were gone within an hour, or you had to wait in line when they were delivered and could only buy 2. It's nuts.

This is what happens when a 7 BBL brewhouse makes, IMHO, the best DIPA on the market. I know I will be in line on release day again.
