Don't worry, they'll find more in the basement in six months and sell them at $20 each!

    I kid because I love.

You can't "kid" and be 100% right at the same time....or can you

We are staying at the Hawthorn Suites since they have a pool and are pet friendly!
I will probably drink all I can at Kuhnhenn, but will try to bring something to share if anyone is down to hang out.

BB4D! The post is up on the book if faces if someone could copy/paste. The tweet just said BB4D and the link....

Just my opinion: This would be the perfect candidate for an on-line ticketed release like Founder's KBS. I get that some people like to wait in line and the social aspects, but.....

BB4D and BB American Imperial Stout! Prepackaged four packs with 2 each. Price and limits not yet set. It's nice not being forced to buy mixed sixers with beers I don't want.

Can anyone post more details? I'm interested to know timing, and I don't have a FB account. I think their original announcement said bottle release would begin at 11 am on Saturday, but who knows if that is still true.

I noticed from last year's thread that this seemed pretty chill - do people expect it to be more hectic because of BB4D?

    Summer Solstice Bottle Release Announcement:
    Saturday, June 20, 2015

-Bourbon Barrel Aged 4D (13.5% ABV)
Our version of a classic English Olde Ale takes the style to new depths of flavor intensity. After several months conditioning, 4th Dementia is transferred into Bourbon barrels for several more months before being released. This ale has an intense, sweet caramel malt flavor and aroma that quickly develops into notes of toffee and toasted marshmallows. The barrel aging adds a slight whiskey character, complemented by subtle notes of vanilla sweetness. As this beer ages, alcohol flavors will fade away and round out, bringing out a mild sherry note with a long, lingering finish.
NOTE: This is 2014 Vintage that spent an additional 6 months in barrels to leach out all of the extra goodness!

-Bourbon Barrel American Imperial Stout (12.9% ABV)
Thick and black as motor oil, this style has a more pronounced hop presence than its cousin, the Russian Imperial Stout. Herbal hop notes lightly cut through aromas of luscious black currants, brown sugar, and rich, dark chocolate. Big and bold on the palate, the roasty, chewy flavors are nuanced with a slight fruitiness and just the right amount of bitterness, both from the roasted malt and the hops. Several months aging in spent Bourbon barrels imparts toasty vanilla and coconut notes, while allowing the beer to mellow out into a smooth fireside sipper.
NOTE: This is 2014 Vintage that spent an additional 6 months in barrels to leach out all of the extra goodness!

We do not have a full bottle count available at this time, as the beer is being packaged this weekend, so we will not be able to announce purchase limits until next week when the final count is tallied.
We can say that this will be a pre-packed 4-pack, featuring 2 bottles of each beer.

We will be opening early on Saturday 6/20 for package sales only at 9am. The taproom will open at 11am as per usual, when we tap our special lineup of Solstice Beers!
