Official Thread for FB Snowed In BA

Just my opinion, but I think More Moro doesn't taste like the MM of old is because they are using the "New Hop Gun" instead of "Hop Gun Classic". But yes, I noticed it also although I didn't think it was awful.

 

How about now? Any word?

I emailed Funky Buddha last week and received this response:

"thanks for writing. We hope to share some exciting news shortly. Thanks for your patience and all the best!"

So...we know that their definition of "shortly" is more than 7 days.

I'm just anxious about it because I am going to Boca at the end of the month for a conference (actually...my wife has a conference...I have a date with some tasting rooms). I would just like it to work out that I can get my two bottles on that trip rather than taking another special trip down there or getting a trustee (although I have a few possibilities already lined up)

 

"Worst case scenario, this beer will be ready by January 10"

I wonder what the final count will be on months in the barrels.

No, it's supposed to be a barrel aged stout.

They are being nice though, said they would replace the bottles with BA Snowed In bottles, but I don't think the beer was brewed just to be a replacement. I expect a release party and bottles for sale, unless they don't have enough or something.

Hard to gauge how many people will pop in to get bottles replaced, especially when you had people trading to get infected bottles for this purpose specifically, so who knows? Maybe they will all go to being replacements which would suck for the buddha, but it's the cost of reputation repair I suppose.

I know, I was joking around with my first line. The rest of my post explained yes, they are because they are nice, but I don't believe it's the sole intent of this beer.

 

I'm very appreciative of that fact that Funky Buddha has offered to replace the bottles...I just wish it wasn't taking this long. I don't really care what they offer up as a replacement, I just appreciate them standing behind their product. Honestly, I'd be happy with some growlers of No Crust or their Berliners or most anything.

 

Just had the BA snowed in on draft....if this is what they put into bottles, funky Buddha has absolutely nothing to worry about for the future.

 

I'm so psyched for this beer. I hope it's soon!
