If someone wants to bail me out of this train wreck of empty promises, leaking bottles and $22 Berliners have them shoot me a pm. The shirt I have is a xl which is unworn and I will mail it to them if I can find it.

@Franch What size shirt is yours? If someone buys either of your memberships will they get the Teku, the shirt and the bottles?

You can have every last bit of it. I need to find my shirt. I assure you it hasn't been worn. I've had a couple responses so I'll consider mine sold. You Florida guys are gluttons for punishment. Good luck. At this point I am waiting on Wakefield to return an email so I can transfer this great opportunity to another lucky person.

Did they ever come out with the online method to pay for bottles. I know one was included, but I thought I second would be an option? Guessing they will use the spare 200 bottles to fill in for leaky bottles.

Anyone else interested in selling their membership, if that's even doable, let me know.

    Cheers!

At this point JW should be the only one buying out unhappy members.

If you read through this entire thread (and any other JWB threads) and your takeaway was 'damn.. I need to get in on this..' you are a gambler. I just hope it pays off for you and you are able to flip those future bottles for whalez.

As a local, it is worth the gamble for me. A lot of out of towners have memberships and it is hard for them to go JWB and take care of a situation.

Looking at the initial reactions to people trying this I wouldn't count on it. Unless they keep reporting dissenting opinions as trolling.

It's funny, when I called out a guy for trying to discredit me because of a trade offer he had posted all that stuff magically disappeared when it was clearly approved of by the trading community.

I'll avoid his beers out of spite for what everyone else has gone through. No Berliner whales for me.

If I was able to get a membership, I won't be flipping those bottles for anything. Based off of what Wakefield beers I have...those future bottles are the "whalez" I want to be my hands on. And I'm not trying to inflate trade value or being a homer. I'm not local nor an OG. I just find his beers so delicious

Man, this is a brewery I really want to try, and have considered maybe making the trek down from St. Augustine if theres a special event or something but reading all this stuff they really don't seem to have their shit together. Their beer sounds delicious but can they really not do things like send out e-mails to their society members? Seems like they don't have anyone even remotely competant at running the online side of things. Don't get me wrong, when I go to the keys next year I will still make it a point to go give the beer a try, but I feel bad for the people getting kind of screwed with all this

Does Wakefield fill other brewery's growlers or only Wakefield growlers?

I just want to note that there seems to be a lot of folks who aren't OG members who seem to have their jimmies all rustled about Wakefield's OG society. The overwhelming number of OGs in my experience are fine with the timeframe and how things are progressing. Do we wish it was happing quicker? Sure! But we all knew it was gonna be awhile. Has communication been poor at times? Yep, and it still is. But Wakefield is a brewer and a new business owner at that, hopefully he will improve. Maybe he will put someone new in change of communication. We all bought in because of the caliber of his beers, and most of us that have met him and delt with him in the past will attest that he is a nice guy and tries to do right by folks. He isn't trying to screw anyone over and he isn't in it just to take our cash. I believe he will deliver and the majority of us will be happy with what we got out of it. We new the pricetag when we bought in, I'm still glad I did. And I'm glad to have helped him start his brewery, it was a kickstarter project not just a reserve society. Yes some folks are outraged and choose to voice their frustrations over the internet, but out of 300 members it appears only a handful are pissed. Just hate to see the guy being the latest internet whipping boy. He still makes good beer. Maybe I'm just to trusting and nice and try to see the best in folks.

As soon as he sees fit to respond to an email I will be out of this mess and not respond to threads about him, but until he does do that I am tied to him so I will respond.

I honestly don't care about how long it has taken. What I do care about is how he said he would ship glasses then didn't. He said he would have a lottery each Friday for OG growlers, he didn't. He has an issue with leaking bottles that he should recall to ensure their quality, he didn't. Instead he has kept quiet on the matter and starting waxing the bottles hoping that will fix the issue, it didn't.

What part of this OG membership are you and the other majority of the 300 members happy about? Is it the shirt? The waxed bottle that may or may not be carbed when you open it? Please share what you are happy about, I'd love to know. All the OGs I know are tired of being lied to.

If he isn't trying to screw anyone then why hasn't he recalled the leaking bottles and fixed the issue. Waxing them doesn't fix it. If I would have my trustee ship me a bottle that leaked I would have to send it back to be replaced then pay the shipping to have it sent back. I'd be out another $36 minimum, I'd feel screwed. He knows a good bit of OGs are out of state and in the same boat as me.

I get it, you Florida guys want a great brewery so yall defend the hell out of him. Until he does something worth defending yall should give it a rest. He is deserving of all the criticism he is receiving and has brought it all on himself.
