We FINALLY got a delivery of Sea Hag yesterday, hand-delivered by our salesman. It was canned on 4/22 and tastes as delicious as ever.

Also, one of our customers told us he's seen 'Hag broken up into 4pks and sold for the same price. Not cool.

I was in there at lunch today, was shocked! They have offered a mix 4 in the past (Gandhi, 668, and maybe 2 Hag? Or 1 Elm City? Can't recall combo) but this was ridiculous.

Funny that the head brewer worked there years ago!

This is crazy to me man. Come out to west Hartford, we've got an abundance. I've seen 6ers at Trader Joes, Parkview Wine and Spirits and Harvest all in this past week (while I was trying to chase down Sip). Crazy Bruce's usually has it too.

SW&S used to be incredibly reliable and would have stacks of sea hag while world wide and crazy bruces have pretty regularly run out on and off since around December. At this point I'll just get it when I see it there and a couple other places I go to that aren't trying to rip people off.

I would never stop laughing if I saw a Sea Hag 4-pack for sale. I would pop that sucker on instagram and put the store on blast. That is a joke.

I saw 7.99 4pk of sea hag at Wine and Spirits Co. Milford. So stupid I often see if it for $9 a 6 pack.

Package stores in this state are such garbage sometimes. Had a great run in with Max Bev this week where one employee lied to me and said they were outta SoS, then the other misheard the exchange and offered to get it for me from the back. I USED to go there quite a bit too. But that's for another thread. :grinning::grinning::grinning:

Bought some 6/10 yesterday at a grocery store, although maybe not fair to say that without disclosing the owners also have a liquor store so their supply must be split between the two.

Having real trouble finding a 6 pack of sea hag around west Hartford CT. 0-4 at 4 stores yesterday, even Trader Joes which often has Hag when others do not.

That's my home territory. Hag doesn't hang around long. On the shelf, but hell even the Whole Foods in Bishops Corner which gets a case or two fairly regularly sells it within about a day. Bought some about two weeks ago, but haven't seen it sense. Recently, it has been around on Friday's.

I drove through CT on 84 last weekend and found it at liquor store in a Stop&Shop plaza closer to PA than Hartford. [/expert description]

First time having it. Very bitter! It was also very fresh and green, but different from the current trend in IPAs. Would have again.

I just bought some yesterday in Glastonbury. It's weird, I always see it on the shelf at Putnam Plaza but never at M&R, I wonder if M&R keeps it in back...

We got a measly two cases yesterday, canned on 8/11. I think there might be a 6pk still left. Hopefully after NEBCo's brewery expansion, it can become a regular shelf beer again.

What amazes me is how many people overlook 668. It's a fantastic BSPA and, when fresh, has a great orange-y hop flavor that compliments the spicy Belgian yeast complexity.

Picked up some yesterday at Kays Wine and Spirits, they usually always have it in stock, and the beer guy mentioned they get a delivery Thursdays for Nebco stuff. $9.99 for a 6pk

Had to struggle to get my way through the last 4 pack of 668 I got and that was when I got a handful of different Belgian style pales (Pranqster, Gnommegang, Matilda, Orval, Duvel) for a party that I had no problems with.

I had this same conversation with a bottle shop manager. He told me they use to get 10 cases a week. Then it went down to 3. He stopped carrying NEBCO all together. The owner then told me they aren't canning as much as they are focusing on kegging for bars and growler fills at the brewery. Strange thing is, the two times I went to the brewery after they reopened their new tap room, they have LESS on tap. Check the facebook page. They will start with three taps on a good day and usually will run out of one. Plus as @kozaka mention, they discontinued beers, namely Elm City, which I would have gladly drank all summer. Instead my money went to Nooner and Sunshine Pils. I am finding it harder to support these guys as time goes on.
I think it is bad move for them to not have their beer on the shelves in their home state especially when we were all use to it. I have never wanted to support a local business more and have the actual business make it harder.

Huh? They are trying REALLY hard to fulfill this insane demand. Things will get better when their new brewhouse is installed next month.
