Sounds like a good review to me. The question is, should I even drink one of my two bottles now, or age both?

I love the citrus, so I would drink one now and age one to see what some age does.

I think it's great fresh and beer is for drinking. Drink up! ...just make sure you share it

Did you notice any tart sourness in it? I remember it having a nice tart bite from this weekend.

I didn't, but taste is all subjective. Someone may get that.

Every day I hate living in Sandstone even more :slight_frown:
Hopefully some finds it's way up to Cloquet since I work too damn much to get down to the cities before it's gone.

Lowry Hill. $17.29. 4 Bottle Limit. You have to ask for it at the counter.

I might be able to trade you a 2012 Dark Lord if I can't get someone to snag me a bottle (out of the state till next week).

Haven't seen or heard anything in the South Metro yet, so assuming it's still coming.

I was able to get four bottles without much trouble. I found Five more difficult to acquire.

Four is enough for me to share one this weekend, give one to a friend who couldn't find one and age two. That's perfect, I'm not hoarding any more unless this proves to be more like Four where it was around for months.

Ah, the good old day when you could walk in to the store and find Four or BCBCS on the shelf. I have already stopped running around town for the beer of the week. I did get a few and will prob. trade for a few more.

I think the "limitedness" of the beer this year is because there are more stores getting it and they are possibly keeping some more for the brewery when it opens. But I know that most of the people who wanted it today got some. More will tomorrow and the next day and the next...

Anyone know how many bottles were made this year compared to last? I still found some bottles of Five in a couple stores early this year.

I started my day at 4am and didn't get off till 9pm, so that sucked. Hoping I can find a bottle tomorrow.

Thomas said they wouldn't run out tonight. I got some at Big Top, its not on the floor, you have to ask for it. That's not much of a craft beer store so it might be a good place to check.

Just for the sake of comparison, here's what I found (I didn't go to every one of these stores - some because of the prices/limits - but I did go to several, and if I didn't go I spoke directly to a clerk) -(prices are rounded up one penny)

    Thomas - 1 (bottle limit) - $18 (really? 1 bottle?)
    Boozemart - 1 - $20
    1st Grand - 2 - $20
    Ale Jail - 2 - $19
    Zipps - 2 - $18.80
    Marshall - 2 - $18
    Haskell's - 2 - $18
    Big Top - 2 - $18

    Four Firkens - 2 - $19
    South Lyndale - 4 - $18
    Big Top - 2 - $19

I don't mind places having a single bottle limit. Makes sense for them, gets more people in the door, and it makes the beer available to more people.

South Metro will probably hit tomorrow. I was at Blue Max today and they told me they were getting in tomorrow.

You complain about one bottle limits, others complain about not getting it at all. Limits will depend on the number of cases a store gets. FF sold out in 1.5 hours. South Lyndale pulled it from the shelves at some point so there would be some for people who worked. They also reduced the bottle count, which I am grateful for since they started selling it before their quoted time of 530 and had 7 bottles left after I bought my 2. Different stores will do different things and it will be ok. Obviously you don't like the 1 bottle limit, but I will take the 18 bucks any day.
