Any you can think of besides the 50/50 Eclipse and Lagunitas High-Westified?

Rye, Bourbon, or Whiskey is fine.

Trying to acquire any I can find.

Did you try just typing High West into the search?

They definitely have done Darkness aged in High West barrels.

No. I wanted you to answer it for me so I wouldn't have to do the work.

It certainly would be more work than starting a thread, that's for sure. It doesn't look like there are that many, but so many BA beers are non-specific on the barrels used that it's tough to find out.

The Eclipse ones and Darkness are probably about it, really.

Oh I honestly just figured I'd link the results in case anyone saw this and wanted to see as well. No criticism meant! Besides, just because something was aged in High West doesn't mean it's actually available at any given level.

EDIT: plus a number of those aren't actually aged in High West barrels, but rather have the two strings somewhere in their name. And certainly batch variation, like how Barrel Gonzo switched from Stranahan to Heaven Hill a while back but didn't change names.

More context. I'm the Beverage Director at Meridian Pint, Brookland Pint, and Smoke and Barrel. We're trying to set up a High West whiskey and beer dinner. The beer part is not coming so easy.

Yeah. Thanks for your response. Probably unlikely I'll be able to track down a High West Darkness, but it sounds amazing.

I think Surly Eight is high west aged. I have a bottle to trade, but certainly not enough for a whole dinner.

EDIT: Actually if you're at Meridian and think it'd help, just pour me a pint and it's yours. I've been wanting an excuse to go to DC. PM me or such if interested.

Big Bad Baptist is usually in High West barrels. They just don't advertise that fact.

Maybe the Utah ones are and the Colorado one's aren't? Otherwise, I would think they would advertise the hell out of that.

For obvious reasons that would make a lot of sense but Im not sure. If Lagunitas is using their barrels in Petaluma it wouldn't be very hard to get them to Denver either I'd imagine though. But yeah the SLC brewery uses a lot of high west barrels. Also the SLC brewery does do more of the barrel stuff I think..

One bottle won't go too far. But you don't need an excuse. Shoot me an e-mail ([email protected]) when you're coming down and I'll get you taken care of.
