One of my local bottle shops carries Two Hearted, but I've never seen it less than 6 months old. I made the mistake of buying it once, but never again.

Agree on pretty much every IPA, except there is one IPA in particular I actually like better when its not super fresh. Sip of Sunshine. For some reason I feel like the flavors balance out a little better after about a month. I've found I like it better in the 4 - 6 week range than the day it hits shelves.

Torpedo. Went to a new resteraunt for drinks only this past Tuesday. Poured the Torpedo into a pint glass and noted the lack of head. One taste and I knew it was old. Looked at the date on the bottle, 12-30-14, 5+ months. Told the server I wanted something else. Got a Stone IPA. Manager came over and asked about the problem. She looked in the cooler and all the Torpedo had the same dates. This resteraunt has only been opened 3 weeks, so they got this stuff from their distributor. I told her she should return it all and check the dates on any new shipments. We'll we.

That it does. I usually don't grab anything I see with a month on it already. I had a lucky moment and grabbed a sixer as they were stocking. It was like drinking an entirely different beer. Absolutely mind-blowing.

Oddly enough, I consistently prefer Enjoy By after the date billboarded on the bottle.
