    -Smuttynose Hayseed (3.8% abv saison)

-The Tap Intergalactic Acid (3% abv berliner weisse)

-Mayflower Summer Rye (3.8% rye ale)

-Victory Lager just hit my local as well, delicious (4.8% abv Helles)

Haven't picked up Intergalactic Acid, but I always do. The others have been staples in my fridge lately, and haven't been mentioned in this thread.

Summerfest is always a solid choice.

Although I'm not big into blondes, Back East's Summer Ale is perfect for a hot day, in my opinion.

Oh, I forgot about this one.

Did you like Hayseed? I didn't. Maybe I need another taste.

Given those 2 beers, did you try Jack's Abby's Framingham lager last summer? If so, thoughts? This year's batch is coming out this week I believe. $12 a 12-pack (at least it was last year) it's a nice buy.

Is there a style you have in mind? Could go many directions with this question, but for summer I like light drinking saisons (check out Victory's swing session saison for a low ABV take), hefeweizen (of course Weihenstaphaner, but also often overlooked Ayinger brau weiss), pilsners (Urquel, Mahr's, Sierra Summerfest, Oskar Blues Mama's Little Yella pils) and helles lagers (Weihenstaphaner original).

Also enjoy , White birch berliner, Professor Fritz berliner, ritterguts gose, and the Anderson Valley gose's out in 6 pack cans. The Mahr's, ritterguts, Ayinger and Professor Friz beers are unfortunately not cost effective, but nice to pick up from time to time.

Many other directions you could go, too.

I like Stillwater Classique for summery things. I wish someone would make something like Tarous Boulba in cans.

NE Beers: Allagash White, Summer of Lager, Elm City Lager, Narragansett Summer, Maine Beer's MO, and hopefully Super Session #2 from Lawson's if we actually get a good amount of cans
Non-NE: Kellerweis, [insert any German Hefeweizen here], Festina PĂȘche, Prima Pils, NOMADer Weiss, and All Day IPA

This summer I want to try Back East's Summer Ale and Nooner from Sierra Nevada.

Mystic Hazy Jane is one of my favorites in the summer.

I've always enjoyed Sierra Kellerweis in the summer. I haven't seen one by me yet but I plan to pick up the Sierra Summer 12 pack which has Pale Ale, Kellerweis, Nooner, and a Kolsch (interesting that the summer pack doesn't have Summerfest!).

Given their track record, I can't wait for the Otter Creek/JA collab. Hoppy pilsner can't be beat for the July heat!

Tried 2 roads no limits hefeweizen last weekend and it was really nice. Hoegaarden Original White Ale is nice as well.

Another vote for Notch Saison. Just picked up a 12 pack of cans for $16, so excellent value too.

I'm a fan of hell or high watermelon cans from 21st amendment. Not too sweet, more of a rind quality that goes well with the wheat base.

I love Berkshire's pils too as mentioned above. I think I read that was getting a can release too.

Also - although it is a hoppy option isn't what you are looking for - left of dial is going to be my beer of the summer. Such a nice 4% option to have in a 12 pack.

I'll fourth that. So far I've only seen the straight White Birch Berliner in cans around Boston, but I've been enjoying them especially on particular hot days. I really dug the blueberry Berliner I picked up in a bottle, so I'm looking forward to trying that and the raspberry in cans too.

I loved the raspberry; thought it was a little less cloying than the blueberry. I didn't know that was going in cans. That's even better.

I didn't love the berliner from White Birch and I was relatively disappointed that I didn't. I had it on tap.

The Baxter summer ale is solid and I had a few of those this weekend. I really like Riverwalk's Screen Door (and I makes me angry, as a Springsteen fan, that "the screen door slams, mary's dress sways" doesn't appear on the label anywhere). But the format stinks. Why is it killing all these breweries to put shit in six packs? Jeez, I literally never want 16.9 oz bottles.
