Twin Cities Bottle Hunt

Only one store has gotten the Crooked Stave stuff so far (Surdyk's), but it will start rolling out more next week. Expect the Petite Sours (blueberry and passion fruit) to be very limited. As far as pricing, it shouldn't be too bad. Those petites will be the spendiest at probably $10-11/bottle.

 

This is great news. Mn is sorely lacking in sour beer options

 

Who is distributing Crooked Stave?

 

That probably has to do with the fact that it was a Surdyk's employee.

 

They have it but are sitting on it until Monday. I went up there this morning and that's what I was told, they still have to put it in their system. If it had gone to Heritage or Princeton's or any small shop they would just slap a price tag on it, stick it on the shelf and call it a day. On the plus side, snagged a St Bernardus Oak Aged Abt 12 as a consolation prize.

 

I'd appreciate any reports of Starkeller sightings this week.

 

Me too, I'd check Zipp's about Tuesday afternoon. Good shot at Bell's Uranus too.

Starkeller is available in New Ulm. Picked up 2 bottles today. Not sure about elsewhere in the state, but if not yet, very soon.

 

$15/bottle like the others or more since it's got fruit?

 

Unfortunately the price went up a little, at least where I got mine. $16.89 each.

on another note, apt 12 oak aged at haskells in ridgedale. they only got 6 bottles. have to ask for it. believe it was $28.

also edina liquors southdale location had a ton of avery samaels if you are looking for that.

 

Random question. Does anyone know if Oskar Blues Tickled Pink is in MN at all? My fiance had it on tap recently and feel in love with it.

 

I saw it at Red Cow North Loop about a week ago. I'd call first to see if they still have it.

Elevated and Zipps both have Crooked Stave now according to Twitter.

 

I realize this might be a long shot at this point but does anyone know of a spot that still has a bottle of Surly Eight? Preferably in the west metro?
