They updated their facebook post, it's actually BBBW not American Imperial stout.

Probably, not too mention that would probably get them an extra $5 per 8-12 bottles. However, you cannot drink in line at kuhnhenn, so the social aspect isn't ideal.

I'll be in line. Hope I can meet another cool BAer out there.

Think last year was $28 a 4pk. Hummer guy drives prices up though. So $30 might be spot on.

I was up at winter solstice two winters ago and there was some guy selling bourbon county variants and BBPt5 out of the back of a hummer. Is this the same hummer guy, who is he, and how is he allowed to do that? Seems highly illegal, right?...

It was $30 last year too, 4pk of Solstice Stout and 4D.

I got 4pks of regular 4D for $30 last year 3 days after Summer Solstice. I can safely say that won't be the case for BB4D =D

Btw, here's the updated bottle list:

    Summer Solstice Bottle Release Announcement:
    Saturday, June 20, 2015

-Bourbon Barrel Aged 4D (13.5% ABV)
Our version of a classic English Olde Ale takes the style to new depths of flavor intensity. After several months conditioning, 4th Dementia is transferred into Bourbon barrels for several more months before being released. This ale has an intense, sweet caramel malt flavor and aroma that quickly develops into notes of toffee and toasted marshmallows. The barrel aging adds a slight whiskey character, complemented by subtle notes of vanilla sweetness. As this beer ages, alcohol flavors will fade away and round out, bringing out a mild sherry note with a long, lingering finish.
NOTE: This is 2014 Vintage that spent an additional 6 months in barrels to leach out all of the extra goodness!

    -Bourbon Barrel Barleywine (14.5% ABV)
Our American Barleywine is aged for 9 months in Kentucky Bourbon Barrels, which contribute notes of vanilla, coconut, and a touch of oak to this intense, yet smooth beer. A heavy handed dose of aromatic American hops add a spicy-citrus note that helps to balance the sweetness of the rich malts, which showcase flavors of brown sugar alongside rich, dark fruits. This is a beer to age.
NOTE: This is 2014 Vintage that spent an additional 6 months in barrels to leach out all of the extra goodness!

We do not have a full bottle count available at this time, as the beer is being packaged this weekend, so we will not be able to announce purchase limits until next week when the final count is tallied.
We can say that this will be a pre-packed 4-pack, featuring 2 bottles of each beer.

We will be opening early on Saturday 6/20 for package sales only at 9am. The taproom will open at 11am as per usual, when we tap our special lineup of Solstice Beers!

Basically, they swapped out BB Imperial Stout for BBBW, which is a good choice imo. I wasn't a fan of the BB stout when I had it on tap in January, but BBBW is legendarily good. Still no bottle limit count, but I spoke to a bartender at Kuhnhenn last night and he told me supposedly two 4pks/person, which would be awesome.

Does "opening early at 9 am for package sales" mean that is when the bottle line will start moving?

Yes, and more time for the HUMMER loser to change his shirt and get back in line again.

I love both of these beers and would love to be able to trade for some. I am from TX and will be coming up for a wedding the last week of July. If anyone is in the Jackson area and wants to set up an IP trade, shoot me a message.

I'm a little confused on this. The above posts say bottle sales starting at 9:00 and the web site says 11:00?

I'm not on Facebook so assume something on there says they are opening bottle sales early (according to above posts).

Anyone with experience know if you show up at 9:00, how long the estimated wait would be? Does the line move quickly?

bottle sales start at 9am. Tap room opens at 11am. Not sure when you should show up for the bottle sales, they havent even announced allotments or how much they made.

Not a fan of the time changes. Winter was an 11am bottle release so if you just wanted to go for pours at 11 you could and avoid the bottle chaos easily. Now there will be two hours of bottle release folks waiting to get in for pours forcing anyone who wants a seat to show up a lot earlier than 11. May as well go for bottles.
