Alpine Brewing Thread

Last weekend at the old pub. Now you can start a new thread about how the new place sucks and the old place was so much better. Luckily Dickeys BBQ is open now so you can go there instead.

 

I've already heard bad, bad reports about Dickey's BBQ. I'll stick with the new pub, though if they've got all new equipment it might lack the "hominess" of the old place.

If you really want to be funny, Pat, you should start floating rumors of Great(*).

Went to O'Brien's the other night and had Nelson. It was definitely Nelson from Alpine - not GF stuff.

Also tried skinny daddy - really good too! Obrien's has had an amazing Alpine lineup lately.

 

Don't blame Alpine - blame GF for not making it correctly.

 

Pat, has the quality of the Alpine's BBQ ever been called into question here?

 

So the new pub opens this weekend ?? Was hoping to go up friday for lunch while im back in town

You definitely missed the joke he was making. Whoosh! It was obvious enough, but knowing who he is (which I think you do) it should have been crystal clear.

 

The new location is about a half mile south of the current one, in the corner of the CVS shopping center. Took a peek in the windows Saturday afternoon - it's a massive space in comparison to the old pub.

I'm gonna miss the old place, for sure. Good times were had and great beer was had there as well.

Actually had Nelson at GF a few days ago. It was a huge improvement over what I had about 3 months ago. They are definitely on the right track. I would have to do a side by side to give my final word on if it is the same, but it was definitely tasty, I'd recommend trying it there again!

So I was very lucky because I went to the old pub last friday (I knew they were to move but I didn't know they were actually moving last weekend).
