It's opening an hour earlier! YESSS!

(from the email that just went out)

Your Guide to an Epically Sour Day
You’re one month away from enjoying deliciously tart beers in a beautiful beer garden, and we want to share some exciting news as well as some tips for making it as epic as possible.

    MORE TIME FOR SIPPIN’ SOURS!
What if we said you could get in an hour earlier than promised? That's right: We are opening our doors at 10am. Update your calendar and get ready for four hours of beer-filled bliss.

    PACE YOURSELF, SILLY!
Our festivals are meant to showcase amazing beers in a jovial setting for like minded people to enjoy them. We work hard to make each one a positive experience for everyone. Your safety is in everybody’s best interest; as per CA state law, we will not serve any obviously intoxicated guests.

BRING YOUR REUSABLE BOTTLE – WE’LL KEEP THE COLD WATER FLOWING!
Please arrive well hydrated, well fed and well aware of your personal limit for brews. You’re encourage to bring a reusable water bottle (environmentally unfriendly single-use varieties aren’t your style anyway) or use the cups provided, as we’ll have plenty of water stations available. And just in case you missed breakfast, we’ll have some tasty and convenient concessions to help set that base layer in your tummy.

Hells yeah. I don't need an extra hour but glad stone heard some of the cries of it only being 3 hours.

I welcome it just because I won't feel as rushed (and honestly, if they care about people getting "too drunk" as much as the email indicates they do, packing that many sours into three hours is kind of counter to that). Would've managed just fine in three, but now with four hours I'll definitely get the most out of the event and all the beers available. Plus, this makes some room for a post-Sour Fest brew there too.

Do we think we'll hear about the beer list this week? Getting excited and want to plot out my morning/afternoon of drinking.

For 2014, didn't we find out the beer list the day of when we were handed the little program? I might be thinking of another festival...but I am with ya on wanting to plan my attack.

Looks longingly at his DDG bottles in the fridge....

Personally I would rather have the small batch sour or some more spontaneous cheer show up. Otherwise you will find me hovering around whatever Hommage bottles are hopefully opened. *crosses fingers*

i was at cellar 3 the other day and they had a few barrels that said "stone sourfest". Looks like it was a blend of a sour blonde and a flanders?

Yeah, they never bring anything good to events out here. Crazy because I think I saw them bring Cable Car to GABF one of these years

Any bottle shares happening before or after the event? I'm so stoked about attending this year since I've missed out on the last one

I was just giving a buddy crap. He calls and hounds the crap out of everyone. I'm surprised if he hasn't called Stone yet.
