What part of Ohio? Probably want some headhunter, white rajah, and columbus IPA

 

don't forget Thirsty Dog and Elevator makes some half way decent stuff too

 

The 3 best ipa's in Ohio and in my top 10 ipa's let me add Bohdi/ Columbus brewing, to those also

jackie o's does a lot of great stuff & is going to start canning.... at some point (not sure when).

 

Jackie O's won't be available outside of the brewery for quite some time, as far as I'm aware. I have assumptions that it's at least a year out from distro cans. Three Floyds gets into Ohio a bit, as do Bell's, Founders, Jolly Pumpkin, Ballast Point...I mean there's lots of breweries worth getting stuff from that you can find in OH. I don't know your distro. "Initial cans may hit shelves in SE Ohio in September. Columbus may be a few months off from that. The first two cans to roll out will be Firefly Amber and Chomolungma Honey Nut Brown. Mystic Mama IPA will be the third can to land. There will be multiple Draft-only beers that should hit Columbus before cans do. Hop Ryot, Drawn and Portered, and maybe Dark Apparition or Matriarch DIPA will be the draft only brews. We will start building up a barrel program at the new facility. I would love to see 750's of Imperials, Belgians, and Barrel aged beers by the end of 2013. hope this helps."

 

I was pretty happy with all of the Rivertown beers that I tried over last weekend.

 

Have to ask what those were...for me, a large majority have been well below average...downright bad. But a couple of their more adventurous offerings have been pretty good.

 

Ojos Negros, their vanilla espresso porter, and Hop Bomber

 

Rivertown lambic is pretty good, and hop bomber is respectable.
