    Sometimes I fish it out and sometimes I just drink. Should the fly stick to the side, so be it. If I drink it, c'est la vie.

    Jeff Goldblum landed in my beer once and I showered him off and gave him a fresh one. He had a ruff day...
    The ending of the original Fly creeped me out!

    If it's a cheap or commonly available beer, I'd probably dump it. If it was Heady or Westy 12...nope.

    I would ask the BJCP to add examine the possibility of a new off-flavor. And drink it nonetheless.

    Ok I feel like my attempt at a tongue in cheek thread went over some people's heads. This was the result of a few too many at Moeder. The beer was St Lamvinus for those asking, so you probably all know full well what I did.

    I guess I'm in the minority here. Several years ago a fly landed in my 90 minute, I caught the fly and made him pay and then tossed the beer. I'm more careful now, if there's a fly in the house I'll put a little plate on top of the glass. btw, did you know that if you pull the fly's wings off it becomes a walk?

    I've never had this happen so I don't know how I'd react. usually flies landing on things skeeves me out because I hear that they drop a deuce every time they land

    An Englishman, Irishman, and Scotsman were all sitting in a pub one weekday afternoon when bizarrely, a fly simultaneously landed in each of their pints. The Englishman politely flagged down the bartender and requested a new pint. The Irishman saw the fly, shrugged, and continued drinking, fly and all. The Scot looked into his glass, absolutely enraged and red-faced, and plucked out the poor dying fly. He grabbed it by the wings and stretched it out and screamed into its face: "Spit it out, you bastard! Every last drop!"

    The only appropriate reaction is to imitate the Scottish gentleman from my joke.
